Re: Head of the Class: Moala Hits the Battlegrounds

I think the horde version for this deck is more interesting. It doesn't have myriams or lots of protectors, but shamanic dual wield and Rak can do some serious damg in no time. Still, my favorite card of all still gets in the way against this deck: cyclone! And with the wastewalker combo on the table, no more myriams. Since this deck can't do anything against abilites or equipement, he looses lost of interest. Interesting for a fun game, but I would not use that kind of deck at Indianapolis.

" think this is a fun deck and more people should try these kinds of decks out at battlegrounds, I would much rather lose to this than to something that was netdecked from a DMF of continental."

I would love to play fun decks... but you just cant do that in tournaments why... because of rating.

If i play a tournament and lose one game to a new guy I can lose a vast amount of points like 20-35 for one game... yet beating a new player i get like 5 points.

If you wanna have fun tournaments then play lazy peon or the other varieties that are out there that won't affect a players main rating.

Winning is more satisfaction then being original. Or just legal abuse of the rule structure... those are always fun ways to win.

    play leeroy, win
Leeroy turn 6, swing, ready, leeroy swing. stormstrike repeat... could be deadly!

    rating is meaningless

Re: Head of the Class: Moala Hits the Battlegrounds

I almost played Moala at Worlds last year. True story.

I like this deck. Seems more solid than straight up Galway combo. I'd definitely improve on it by running Whispering + P/R Blade.

Re: Head of the Class: Moala Hits the Battlegrounds

Oh yeah, whispering blades and p/r blades for sure... lets not all forget about one thing that would make this deck insano.... 2 words...... WINDFURY WEAPON.... now you can ready someone even more times a turn... it can get redic for sure.... especially when you have 2 of them.... so now your dealing damage and rereadying someone...   someone else said leeroy, i also add steelsmith with myriam.... could be nasty... oh wait.. i posted a deck like this a while back, before coif of the wicked came out....lol-
mmmmmm.. that weapon is chock full of Shamany goodness... Finally!! a male enhancement......................... shaman!!!!

Re: Head of the Class: Moala Hits the Battlegrounds

I love the idea and the article: trying to inject some fun and creativity into Myriam is excellent. Just one thing I'm unsure about:

Active Myriam + Weapon with Hauberk of Desolation = 10

Active Myriam + Weapon + dual wield + Hauberk of Desolation = 15

Is there actually an opportunity to exhaust Myriam in between striking with the two weapons? When I first read it I was sceptical, but after thinking about it, this is the Defend Window, right? And things can be used in response to say, a strike effect going on the chain...I think.

    @Shodori: lol?

My opponent played conjured cinamon roll. my turn comes along and i play nyn'jah's tabi boots. I choose to use the payment power of his cinamon roll to gain control of it. but he has loly the unsuspecting out.

Re: Head of the Class: Moala Hits the Battlegrounds

you don't even need to do it in response, really

you can let the strike resolve and then myriam and then strike again

Moala versus Ripped is very funny.

Watch em use 5 turns to set up a combo to play a huge ally.

Play retainer's blade and kill it :D

Best ranking at weekly draft : 4th (5 showed up and I got a bye :D)
Number of weekly drafts : 44 and counting.
0-4 drop at worlds (pairings suck)
Once won a game in DMF, my opponent didn't show up.

I'm packing 4 Earth shocks in my version of Moala and by turn 7 the rip is dead.

I meant versus old school plague ripped that put Lokholar on turn 5.

Anyway Moala is a bad deck that "looks and does" good at first glance.

Re: Head of the Class: Moala Hits the Battlegrounds

Ok, i have a big question
I just started playing WoW tcg,  this guy like a couple of weeks ago and i just notice that one of the combos here uses a Molten Core card - Inspire.
The thing i want to ask is: Can u use raid cards into normal deck? Like can I add toss abouts from magtheridon into my shaman decks? Cause as far as i was teach u coulnt....
