    Class Strengths and Weaknesses

Warrior Strengths are Equipment, Equipment Destruction, Ally Destruction and a fair amount of interrupts.

Warrior Weaknesses are Ability Destruction, Ability Damage, Unpreventable Damage, keeping Allies Alive and Healing.

Have I missed anything and what are the strengths and weaknesses of each of the other classes?

EDIT: Big Warrior Weakness - card draw

    Re: Class Strengths and Weaknesses

Mage Strengths are World of Warcraft Trading Card Game

Mage Weaknesses are Flammable Card Stock

    more seriously...

Mage Strengths are Powerful Card Draw, Interrupts for all card types, Damage Dealing, Mass Ally Removal, Equipment/Ability control (but rarely outright removal), Efficient Healing, low cost cards, and the ability to play extremely quick, slow, or midrange decks.

MageWeaknesses are low starting health, poor weapons and armour.

I suppose you could argue that while Mages CAN answer anything you can't really fit all those answers into a single deck.  Mage decks are very different to each other (30 allies in Black Ice, 2 in Varanis) and they all have to leave out some of the strengths listed above.

    Re: Class Strengths and Weaknesses

    My views on classes:

Warriors are slow at getting stuff out, however they are great once they are able to get out the good stuff.
Mages low health sucks sometimes, but with all their tricks, they are still a fun class. They have not much armor to help them stave off damage.
Hunters are good at picking things off and have a few neat tricks, but I have always found it difficult to create the "perfect" hunter deck. Phase Hound and Ripper pets help the hunter alot. There isn't too much armor to help stop damage.
Pally class is the cheapest class in the game, heals alot, cards that get rid of allies, interrupts, ect. They are however slow in some ways like the Warrior as far as going weapons and armor. This isn't my favorite class to be honest.
Warlocks are full of tricks, lots of DOTS to pile on, many ally killing cards. They lack armor.
Priests are very good healers, have many annoying cards to deal with. Their low health sucks. Very good in raid games I find. There are a few interesting staffs, wands, and daggers out there, but nothing that really makes an impact yet, for me anyway.
Druids have many different deck types that can be made. I find them also great healers for raid games. I prefer the cat form over the bear form. They lack armor and I wouldn't mind seeing better weapon selection for this class.
Death Knight is slow starting, but I feel that it will pick up, especially with the new set coming out. The class has much potential.
Rogues are very interesting class with many deck creations to do. Armor could be better for this class. I think that there should be more resource destruction cards. The ones now...meh.
Shamans are my favorite for direct damage and weapons comb. I know the mage is good for direct damage too, but I like that whole nature damage stuff. The totems I find need more protection to stay alive longer. There are a few cards that do, but I think just a bit more is needed.

So, that is my thoughts on the classes.

I must dispute the "Warriors are weak in card draw" note, actually. Two words: Bloody Ritual. That is all.

    Re: Class Strengths and Weaknesses

The only thing mage does not have is good ability removal.

Low health is countered with good healing.

They have Meltdown which kills allies or weapons. Britillize which takes out armor AND stays in play to do 2 dam and stop an attack.

They have crazy card draw and the ability to slow down or stop opponent card drop.

    Tons of interupts.

Mage has no real weakness, at worse they just do not do some things at the best level you would want.

    Re: Class Strengths and Weaknesses

i have to disagree with the paladin assessment. i think pallys can be best described as a jack of all trades class. they donnt accel at anything yet they do decent jobs at everything. the only thing the lack is ability removal. they can draw cards decently, they can armor up decently, they can heal decently, they can keep allies alive with the best of em and they hhave decent burn spells.

I not surprised that this thread de-evolved into how overpowered Mage is. What I am surprised in it doesn't have a sub-theme of how underpowered Hunter is.

This thread specifies "Strengths and Weaknesses". Hunter doesn't have any strengths

What about Chimera Shot? That card is ... awesome. Right?

    Re: Class Strengths and Weaknesses

I'm disappointed at how diverse the Mage cards are compared to other classes.

    Card draw? Check.
    Ally destruction? Check.
    Ability removal? Check.
    Equipment removal? Check.
    Interrupts? Check.
All of the above at reasonable costs? Check.
    Variety of playstyles? Check.

I was hoping that Scourgewar would shake things up a bit but after seeing the leaked preview (which I will not link, so don't ask for it!) I know it's going to be more of the same.

I don't think you can make this sort of judgment after seeing only a few class cards

If he is referring to the spoiler I think he is, then it contained all the class abilities in Scourgewars.
