    Sneak Preview?

Where would I go to obtain information in regards to being able to run a Sneak Preview event at the Hobby Shop that I sanction tournaments for?

Sorry if this is an over-asked question but this has been the first opportunity that has came up other than normal weekly tournaments that I wanted to look into.

The store should have (or had) the opportunity to order the sneak preview kit.  Do they currently pick up the battlegrounds for your group?

I gave him the info to sign up for it, the owner told me he had to mail off something which included photos of his shop and our play area or something to that effect. Been awhile now, haven't gotten any updates as to its status.

    Re: Sneak Preview?

Yeah, you have to prove that you're a brick and mortar store to get OP support from Upper Deck. Once the store owner gets that stuff (photos) in, you'll be able to order Battleground kits. Upper Deck usually gives stores that run Battlegrounds the opportunity to run Sneak Previews and RCQs and stuff like that, so nagging your store owner about getting the Battleground support is Step One.
They gave me some judge levels or something, too...

Will Upper Deck send him confirmation once they receive his mail? Honestly not sure exactly how it works because I am simply the guy who runs the tournaments but I do know all of the players are pretty anxious for the Battleground experience and so forth.

    Re: Sneak Preview?

I'm not 100% certain. Sending that info in lets your store owner open a direct account with Upper Deck, and they can order the Battlegrounds through that. They should get a confirmation of some sort that lets them know they have a direct account. My advice would be to ask your store owner about it and see how far he got. If he hasn't sent in the pictures, methinks its time to light a fire under him. (Promising more players is usually a sufficient fire.)

    Re: Sneak Preview?

um well i sent an email to Javier Casillas with the same concerns as you and this is the response i recieved

Who should i contact if i wish to host one of the sneak peek events like the upcoming scourgewar preview or any sanctioned event in general?

There are a few things stores should do to be considered for premier level events (Sneak Previews, Realm Qualifiers, Spectral Safari, etc).

To be considered a store should:

    • Run regular sanctioned tournaments for WOW TCG (or WOW Minis in the case of Elite Events for the Minis).
    • Have a good history of reporting your events (upload with Mantis) in a timely manner. If you don't upload the results, we see zero activity.
    • Pre-sanctioning is a plus! We really like it when shops pre-sanction their events at least a month in advance. This is good for new players trying to find events in their area.
    • Are in good standing with Upper Deck OP (order and run Battlegrounds correctly, follow the program rules, etc.).

Please note that not every store that meets these criteria can be selected to run every Hobby Elite event.

He has already mailed off the required information/materials we simply have not heard back from UDE yet.

    Jstncloud,

I've seen you post a few times about getting events running in North Carolina. I am the OP Rep responsible for Upper Deck tournaments and events in North Carolina, and for a majority of the region around you.

I don't do any of the receiving of these Hobby Applications, so I'm not sure of the status of this. I can look into this though, if you provide me with the name of the store, and the date when they submitted this application.

I would still like to talk to you, or the store you represent, and answer questions you have about tournament kits. If you can PM me contact information for you, or the store, I'll get in touch.

Not that it's on topic or anything, but I just wanna thank Ry for all he's doing for the OP in his area:) He's been really on top of just about everything. Now he just has to get everyone he works with to be as on top of their everythings and LankyBrit could stop complaining:-P
