    Worlds 2009 Recap

    Worlds 2009 Recap
    By Glenn Jones

Worlds was a doozy of a tournament, and the highlights do not do it justice. If you weren't there, read on. If you were, then reminisce about the good times in the forums!

Still waiting to here more about the Legendary Draft.

Luckily enough my friend got to play in the thing, so I got to hear his account, but it would be cool to hear more.

    No quote for you!

It's impressive how bad the champion deck list was this year. I watched in game #1 as Markoff totally destroyed him then went away. Then I was shocked to learn he won. Congrats I guess for an unlikely win in the final. I will concede that I do like the choice of hero though, that part was a nice touch at least.

I can only hope I bring a deck that bad to Worlds next year.

The match between Rob and Bob was really epic. After losing game one, Rob came back and nuked Bobby's hero for lethal two games in a row. There is coverage here: http://entertainment.upperdeck.com/wow/en/events/article.aspx?eid=54&aid=7003

    Re: Worlds 2009 Recap

If you think that was sick you should have seen Rob Victory's sealed deck to make the top 8.

In game three by turn 5 he was attacking with a Water Elemental and using his activated power twice on my turn. Oh and it did 2 damage per activation btw.

His deck was so amazing I felt lucky to get to a game 3.

A player that good with a deck that good..wow. Was pretty fun match.
