    Tucson WOW 11 Oct constructed

Ok, while all of the big guys were duking it out in Austin at Worlds, the folks still in Tucson decided to have a go and crack some skulls of thier own. judging/TO duties were given to our new Phx transplant Joe (Labe), he was than happy to get in there..... 12 players showed...

Mozu, Tuna, Foamy, Jay, Dani, Fez, Rene, Mark, East, Morgan, Ryan, and Robert.

I don't remember what everyone was playing, I know that Jay and I were playing slightly different versions of Kil'zin and that there were 3-4 more rushy decks in the event, alot more than the norm for around here, I expect to see that stay about the same for the next few weeks, just a guess though.

It is really late in the week to remember a whole lot about what went down, sorry. I know who I played in the rounds but no real details.

    Rd 1 vs. Morgan

He was playing a deck of mine that needs re-tweaking, Emmi Sprinklestrike was not showing her best side. 2 quick games later Morgan was down.

    1-0

    Rd 2 vs. Dani

More rush. It went all three games but I pulled it out to keep the forward momentum.

    2-0

    Rd 3 vs. Fez

Zombies. Undead warlock with every undead you can think of, and the bane to my deck, main decked cannibalize. It went all three games and that card was the key to his 2 wins, good games Fez, as always.

    2-1

    Rd 4 vs. Ryan

Horde warrior……. Something new for Ryan, and he proved that blood frenzy, in our meta at least, is a pretty damn good card. It wasn’t quite enough though, close/good games, but I pulled it off.

    3-1

    The top 4

    Mozu vs. Jay

    East vs. Fez

East and Fez duked it out a long time with East taking the win, I was kinda happy about this as I obviously hoping to win the mirror vs. Jay and go to the finals. Too much of a crap shoot vs. Fez, so east winning was a good sign.

    Mozu vs. Jay

The mirror, 3 close nasty games, it came down to a turn, and a couple of great topdecks (and bad ones for Jay I should state, one burn card, just one, would have put it in his favor) and the win was mine.

    Finals Mozu vs. East

I was very glad that East beat Fez as I was pretty sure that I could handle the deck he was packing against me. 2 fast games proved it to be true. Good games East, but the traitor troll smashed face.

That makes my third win for the year locally, need a few more before the EOY blowout in Dec. Things are still going well and we continue to have new players poking their heads in from time to time, our 2nd of 3 RQ’s is THIS Sun at 12, reg starts at 1030, hope to see a good turnout.

    Laters……
