Question about DMF?

Is there tickets you have to buy to attend a DMF? or can an individual just show up to such event?

I am new to the wow tcg and would like to attend a DMF and it seems the next one i would be able to make would be DMF las vegas ( Live in Northern California ...sigh)

Darkmoon Faires are free to attend. Entry into each of the tournaments cost different amounts depending on the format and the prizes. But, there is no cost to get into the room.
