2. The priority window inside the ready step does not occur until after you ready your cards for the turn, which is also the time when Inspire powers occur. It is not until after this priority window closes and the draw step begins that you draw your card for the turn.
Because you can play Instant cards, use powers, or complete quests any time you have priority, you may do any of these during the priority window in the ready step (after the turn player's cards have readied for the turn).
3. "Start of turn" powers trigger at the very beginning of the ready step, even before your cards are readied. But because triggered powers are not placed on the chain until pre-priority processing, the link will not be added to the chain until the priority window begins after you ready your cards. But this occurs before you draw your card for the turn.
4.
Comprehensive Rules v2.21:401.3b As such a modifier ends, control of that card reverts to:
• the player specified in the latest-timestamped (718.2) modifier gaining control of that card
• or, if no such modifier exists, the player under whose control that card entered play
• or, if no such player exists, that card is removed from the game
This rule refers to modifiers that change control of a card. In the example you provided, you would regain control of the card as yo uare the player under whose control it entered play.
5. An attacker is not attacking an opposing character until the defend window of combat begins, which is after the protect point. So if you propose an attack with Captain Swash and your opponent uses a Protector, Captain Swash is now attacking that exhausted protector and will gain +3 ATK.
