Just wanted to give our loyal forum trollers a heads up. We're running a very special event at Gen Con this year. There will be an article up later this week discussing all the details. For now, I'll just say that this is going to be the first time anyone is going to get to play the game outside of the demos! If you are excited about minis I'd do my best to get down to Gen Con this year. (That means you TehHuntre)

Very nice news, thanks for the info! Good thing I'm going to Gencon then :D

Next thing I want to know is how to play in that event? (Being second to answer this tread gives me points toward participation, doesn't it?)

And the one other thing I want to know after that is about promo(s) ;p

I will be at GenCon as well, but I'll be working a booth most of the days in the Dealer Hall.  Hopefully the sneek peaks are after the Dealer Hall closes, because I am super excited for WoW Minis.

Unfortunately I won't be able to make it (unless someone can sponsor my trip?  I don't need a hotel room...), so I'm expecting indepth posts from those of you who are going and in particular those of you who compete in this "mystery" event. 

God I wish I could go...

Greatest WoW TCG achievement...qualified for the WoW Invitational!!

My information is that you will have to register at the UDE booth in the Exhibit Hall. At 11 and 1 on Friday and Sat, there will be a drawing for places (not sure how many will be allowed to participate in each event), and the events will start 1 hour afterward, right at the booth.

any updates on this from UDE?  Hopefully they have an announcement before I leave for GenCon tomorrow.

 

CCGsCards-  Where did you get your info?

Most of the info that CCGsCards mentioned can be found on the last page of the downloadable demo.  It looks like you have to take the coupon with you and the event will occur at noon and 4pm on Friday and Saturday, with the entries being pulled at 11am (like CCGsCards mentioned).

I have my coupon printed out and ready to go for tomorrow, but man I hope I can get drawn for one of the Friday games.. unfortunately due to how Gen Con is set up, my Saturday slots for the event are full.
