    Realm Championships

So I was curious about the fall Realm Championships coming up on Nov. 14th and 15th.  Looking at the event information, nothing is mentioned to the minis.  The minis link actually goes over to the TCG Realm Championships page.  I guess I'm mainly looking for any kind of confirmation that there will be a minis Realm Championship on that date.  Any kind of announcement or answer that someone can give me would be much appreciated.

    Re: Realm Championships

It's sad, but I think it's a fair bet at this point that the game will be officially axed immediately after Worlds.

    Consider that we still have:
-No information on the continuation of local BGs, for which support ran out in most places 2 months ago.
-No information on the 3rd set, which was supposed to release over a month ago.  People still expecting it in October or even as a surprise release at Worlds are forgetting that extensive previews for Spoils of War ran at least 2 months before the release date.

The total silence on this issue implies that the set is not expected to release any time in the near future, and it's becoming less and less likely that this is something out of their control.

Having played a lot of past collectible games that got the axe, these are very ominous signs that the game will soon cease to be.

I like this game a lot and I'd love to be way off and find out all about the new set and 6 months of renewed tournament support tomorrow, but it's not something I'm counting on.

i'm pretty sure there will be minis.. the realm champs in may only had info for the TCG as well

but you'd need a UDE rep to confirm that for sure

It seems like for the Spring Realms that we knew about it a good bit in advance.  We had the Death Watcher previewed pretty early as well.

I'm hesitant to say that I think it's going to be over after World Champs.  The lack of any information from UDE though is discouraging to say the least.  Right now I'm not asking for any details like format, map, or anything else.  All I'm looking for is confirmation that there will be a Fall Realms Championship for minis.

    Re: Realm Championships

At this point it does not matter what UDE does the game is dead in all but a few regions and has lost to many players. UDE totally dropped the ball on a great game and the writing is on the wall and the game will be dead in 3-4 months.

    Re: Realm Championships

I don't think I'd say the game is dead.  It's definately at a low point right now.  With some new products out and some good marketing, this game could be huge.  WOW has what, 12 million players?  That's a huge market to tap into of people who are already gamers.  This is a great game that's got loads and loads of potential.  I've jumped ship on other games and regretted it so, even if the game is dead, I'll be riding it all the way down.

    Re: Realm Championships

whether or not there is a minis realms champs should not be the debate. in my opinion it is a gross oversight that there is no direct information on the matter. other than error, there is no acceptable reason aside from game-death to not directly include minis information.

    Re: Realm Championships

I looked to see if I could find any information about events after the World Champs, and I can't.  There's no mention of minis anywhere after 2 weeks from now.  The DMF Vegas page doesn't have alot of information up as of right now so that could be the reason it's not showing up there.  However, outside of that there's nothing listed anywhere else about any events this year for Minis.

    Re: Realm Championships

Everyone needs to remember how slammed UDE has been with events in the past 2 months. Add Worlds coming up to that and you have some busy PEOPLE. I remember when WoW TCG had some pretty low points and UDE brought it back to life. The WoW games UDE has made are fantasticly balanced (minus maybe Mortimer) and people see this. That alone will bring people in.

Also if you know much about production and distribution, you should know that UDE has to have at least the next set already molded and painted, if not the next 2. So if they were looking to shut it down it wouldn't be until after Souls sells low. That gives them time to recover and get people on board. Personaly I feel the apocalyptic game talk is irritating and irrational.

You know you bring up some pretty good points.  UDE has been pretty busy lately with events.  You also make some good points about the low points for the TCG.  I said it in another thread and I'll state it again here, this is a great game.  It's alot of fun and the potential for it to take off is huge.  With the right marketing and things I can easily see it being a very big success.
