Drums of War Preview: Off to the Races!

Let's get some discussion going on these cards.

I personally really like Berserking and War Stomp, but realistically Shadowmeld and Diplomacy are probably the stronger abilities. All of the rare "Champions" are very playable, though, to the extent that the Diplomacy Champion would end up being good in almost any deck with a reasonable amount of alliance allies at all, and the Quakelord certainly shakes up any protector wall along the lines of the Black Ice Elemental decks.

Also, Tatulla, meet Woodsie. She's not immediate, but she lets you choose, and she can go beyond one destroyed, so I like her. Only problem is a protector.

Lastly, I really, really like the art on the Quakelord. If he doesn't become an EA at some point, I may have to begin punching babies.

The 4 cost troll looks really strong, as he can be anything.. a very large (for 4 cost) 5/5 or a utility 1/9 for taking out little allies first, etc

only problem is healing neutralizes him! 0_o

I think shadowmeld has the potential to be broken in so many ways. The one that kills abilites or equipment may be the new staple common in all alliance decks.

Also they mentioned that the warstomp champion "scoffs at protectors". He only stops one not all protectors. I would have thought he exhausted all.

Speaking on behalf of the forsaken..were is the love.  Why dont we have a champion with cannibalize built in?

i love how they made voss' affect a keyword now and i KNOW that woodsie will become a staple for alliance since it is the only alliance ally i can think of that hits both abilities and equips plus the shadowmeld just makes it broken, i never really liked alliance for constructed until now.

    new realm placings
    1st/2nd RCQ H Serpent,
1st/2nd RCQ H Priest Big Drops,
    6th RCQ A Poopy Warrior

i think u can see the pattern here, horde = top 8 its a guarantee or your money back (some rules apply)

These are only some of the previews.  It would spoil it a bit if they showed you all of them.  All those allies are good (maybe not Mollie).  I know the Human one is going in my pally sanctity aura deck for sure.  Along with Woodise.  Im loving the Utility that the trolls have,  if there is a Myriam, 4 on the Ferocity, Nagalaas?  3 damage etc.  It allows for alot of versatility.  NE one is a bit op......  All you need is a NE lock, Helwen and you prevent all damage =).  Tauren are good,  even though it only stops one, that can be a key ally.  The rare guy is good as well, especially the quote =).  Looks like this set may balance horde and alliance, hopefully.

I'm more excited about Darbun. Horde finally gets a staple 3-drop, and Thunder Bluff makes him and the already huge Quakelord very hard to one-shot with the current ally base.

damn, it seems I'll be replacing my Narthadus & Scrapper Ironbane soon. heh, heh.

I sure hope the Forsaken's racial is not simply a carbon copy of Ophelia Barrows.

Quakelord is nuts! you can never strike against him. Unless you have Blessing of Salvation with you.

But yeah, Woodsie is looking like this set's Chipper.

I have added all of these cards to my World of Warcraft: TCG Spoiler Search. Everything should be entered correctly.

Re: Drums of War Preview: Off to the Races!

By the wording of the article, I think the rest of the racials will become keywords in the next two sets in the block. Probably 3 in set 2, and the final 3 in set 3. That way they don't have to cram all the races into this set. (I think the racial locations will be the same, btw).

My problem with using Soul Link in a very unfair way with Eternium Runed Blade or Zaistor the Vigilant with Ash'ergi was that you had to play Ash'ergi.

So obviously new berserking allies, specifically a 2-cost FEROCITY berserking ally makes me very happy.
