It's a beautiful day in sunny southern California, what better way to wind down the week with a Spoils of War sealed event. Employees of Upper Deck swarmed to the Organized Play area to sign up for the event. Players received two boosters of Spoils of War, a Forest Song map to play on and a Death Watcher promo to put on their desk. Everyone was eager to tear into their booster packs and see if they would be lucky enough to pull an epic.
I cracked my boosters to find a Crashing Wave Spirit, Ethereal Crypt Raider, Wrathguard, Ethereal Priest, Ironfurr Burr, and a Lobstrok Razorclaw. As much as I wanted to run the Furry Lobster team, I ended up settling on the E.Priest, Burr and Wrathguard. I won't bore you with the details. I got wrecked.
We had some exciting prizes for players that finished 4-0. Here are some of the pictures for the event as well.
Organized Play master Jason Brenner calculates his next move carefully. He piloted an Ixamos, Ironfur Bear, and Beren Embersbane. Needless to say he wasted my party.
Miniatures expert Patrick Sullivan hung out in the WoWTCG R/D room for the event, helping with rules questions and generally wrecking everyone he came up against.
And now for the prizes, we were able to wrangle some "first look" miniatures from the art department and brand. These are figures that are shipped from overseas to be reviewed before they are put into production...very rare indeed. We also had a couple extra Ethereal promos from GAMA Trade Show to give out.
