Judge Cards

Hello judges,

It is my pleasure to announce that starting Monday, January 21 judges should be expecting their volunteer cards in the mail.

Before you get too excited, here are a few conditions regarding this mailing.

1. You must have had a certification change since February 1, 2006. This usually means that you tested for a new certification and passed.

2. You must have judged in or organized at least one sanctioned tournament since January 1, 2006. That tournament must not only been sanctioned, but the Tournament Organizer had to enter you as a judge and uploaded the tournament. This is an important condition and ended up removing about seven thousand people from the mailing. Again, to get your volunteer card you must have volunteered at a sanctioned/uploaded tournament and your name must have been among the reported judges for that tournament. This is the only way for us to identify that you volunteered at a sanctioned event.

3. You must have a valid address in our database. This goes without saying, but if we have the wrong or incomplete address for you, you will likely not receive your judge card.

4. Judge cards are mailed in waves. North American cards are mailed today. European cards will first have to be shipped to Europe and then mailed out locally. This can add another 2-3 weeks to the process. The same goes for cards in Australia and New Zealand.

Additional questions about judge cards should be sent to judge@upperdeck.com

Thanks,

Alex Charsky
