Loren Nolen Takes $10K Detroit! | | | | | Curve Sentinels continued to dominate the $10K scene in Detroit, once again getting some extra punch from Micro-Sentinels. The plot twist was once considered to be just for tech, but since it has appeared in winning Sentinels decks from $10K Paris and now $10K Detroit, it’s safe to say that the card is a standard for the archetype.
Loren Nolen, a 16-year-old Canadian from Beaver Creek, Ontario, trekked across the border to become one of the youngest $10K champions in history. He may turn out to be a prodigy, as he dominated the whole tournament. Not only did he take home the championship trophy, but he also finished the first day of competition as the first seed. All eyes should be on Nolen in future $10K and Pro Circuit events.
