• Re: What can we do if a spectator give advice

1220434:If there were multiple choices and the player was still thinking, I would go for the game loss to the speaker and a game loss to the player depending on the relationship of the two and the state of the game.It seems you would give penalties based on your feelings. You didn't explain what's the infraction from your point of view. Please ...

  • Re: A judge calling time to early and no one around to catch it what do you do....

1220434:Myeh, I'm the kind of guy who wants to treat all players equal.Good idea! But it is more important to treat all players correct than treat them equal. So if you did treat one player incorrect, it never is a good idea to treat other players incorrect too.

  • Re: Zero targets

1103221:A card is a targeted card, when it has the word ''target''No, not necessary, please don't overview the word ''only''! 706.1a A link is targeted only if it has the word target in its text. This means, for every card with the word target, we have to apply 706.No, you are treating an implication as an equivalence, but it's not an ...

  • Re: Blood Fury and some other question

    1) You must roll the die. Elsewhere the card would say ''you may roll a die''.2) A hero doesn't need to have a weapon to attack. A hero may attack with 0 ATK.

  • Re: Pre-ordering your deck and shuffling

1220434:I don't know in what kind of local play you live in, but there's simply not enough time to reach everyone... and with a community as thriving as WoW in my local play, most of my time would be taken up by teaching them how to shuffle.Usually there is no need for that much time as you did describe here. I was the owner of a fantasy store for

  • Re: Pre-ordering your deck and shuffling

1220434:*sigh* The next level3 who doesn't see the point.I see your point. I just decided to write nothing about it, because Chad already wrote all important about that.Ofcourse, pile shuffle is nothing but a reorder. But if you have no knowledge of a position, which nearly noone has, then it doesn't matter. You will very rarely have a ...

  • Re: Pre-ordering your deck and shuffling

1220434:Reordering a deck where you have no, or little, prior knowledge about is as good as perfect randomization. This is absolutely wrong. I want to emphasize that Chad is completely right with his explanations. It is not possible to randomize a deck via pile shuffling only, no matter how many instances of pile shuffling will be done. This is ...

  • Re: Grand melee format question

I disagree with Aaron in 2 und 3. I prefer giving 1 point to a player each time a player to his left is eliminated, no matter about the reason for being eliminated. It's very frustrating to deal all but 1 damage to an opponent's hero and then he kills himself by using the power of his own Tim or something similar just for not granting me my victory ...

  • Re: Side deck legality

I agree too, we should not allow a swap Aldor/Scryer in Constructed. The reasons are already mentioned.

  • Re: Pre-ordering your deck and shuffling

783308:From my point of view, allowing pre-setting under some circumstances and not others injects ambiguity into a process which is currently unambiguous. It opens up a window for players to argue with judges, and without a lot of philosophy for why this is sometimes allowed, inexperienced judges may find themselves unable to discern ...
