I would view your actions at the very least as slow play, if you continues to do it, I would either issue another slow play warning and would consider DQ for Stalling. Even if you are not stalling you are still taking far to long to effectively do nothing.

Excellent post John, could not have said it any better myself! I also was a bit bewildered on how someone could think that mid-round deck checks were an abuse of power.

I'm saying say a Tournament Host Decided to host an event where each
-round- was say 2-3 days long for whatever reason, probably because of
online issues (in case of future events where YGO might be played
competitively over the net for example). One person is obviously the
more active and willing at the whole time. However his opponent is

My experiences are with Yu-Gi-Oh. At several premier events (Regionals & Nationals) we have been told we may NOT use a die on top of the deck as a reminder (Ex for Reckless Greed), and that it is both players responsibility to remember.
I was fairly certain that this was allowable in Yu-Gi-Oh as well, but since I do not judge that game, I am ...

In WoW it is both player's responsibility to maintain a legal game state.
That is true, but you are misapplying that philosophy.
In WoW, you are allowed to use tokens to remind you of certain actions like infernal. I have seen players put a small object on top of their deck to remind them to discard for Infernal before drawing. This is perfectly

The value listed in the tournament information will always be the base C-value of the event. Rest assured the modified c-value is what is actually used in the calculations of the ratings.
Also the C-value does not represent the amount of the swing of points, but rather the maximum possible. It is a sliding scale based upon the difference in ...

I can't say I never would, but to my knowledge I have never made a player resleeve an entire deck for a marked cards minor infraction during a round. If during a deck check give out a marked cards minor, I inform them to change sleeves between rounds, and then I follow up to make sure it has been done. It is unreasonable in most cases to force ...

It seems you are attempting to apply the rules for triggered effects to replacement modifiers. Replacement modifiers never use the chain and do work as described above.

That is fine for a UDE sanctioned event, as long as it is not a Premier event with specific guidelines AND you clearly announce this at the beginning of the event and include it in all tournament info. For example, you could not run a YGO Regional and cut to a top 16, but if you wanted to do so at your local YGO event, then that is fine.

Scenario 2: As nothing significant has happened, I would back the game
up, return DD Survivor to the field, and tell the players to continue.
If Player Z had summoned a monster, I'd let them re-decide their
action. Again a warning for the players at Regional, and maybe just
Player X at a local.If a person would have to ...
