• Re: Mantis and Linux Ubuntu

I don't know anything about mono,so i can't help you with that, but if you look at this websitehttp://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/you'll find out how to make a bootable cd or usb drive with winxp and mantis on it.Then you can use that to boot to xp, run MANTIS and when you're done just remove the drive, reboot and you're back to ubuntu.Of course ...

  • Re: Mantis and Linux Ubuntu

Not sure if this what you were looking for,but you could use a live version of windows with .net installed so that you can use MANTIS.You can have either a live cd or a live usb thumb-drive,though i would recommend a usb drive cause you won't be able to save any changes on the live cd.It's fairly easy to use,and only takes 2 or 3 minutes to boot ...

  • Deck Swap in Sneak Previews.

Before everyone starts pointing out that there are other threads discussing this matter, let me say that none covers what I want to know.So with that out of the way, here is the question. The sneak preview here in Greece hasn't taken place yet,and will either take place this or the next weekend. With that in mind should the TO's do deck swaps?I ask ...

  • Re: Volunteer Point Store

And to think I wanted to open a thread to ask the same thing myself. The thing that strikes me as odd though,is that al reference to it,seems to have vanished.I understand that they want to work out all the kinks in the system before actually putting it out there, but come on.Removing all reference to it is like trying to bury it,and never actually ...

  • Messed Up Dates On Tournament Locator

So I was trying to find a tournamnet on the tournament locator the other day,and this weird thing happened.Let's say,I wanted to search from 1-6 (June 1st) till 10-6 (June 10th).When I clicked on the calendar icon and selected those dates it came up wth the tournaments from 6-1 (January 6th) till 6-10 (October 6th).If you think about it what ...

  • Re: Open Dueling

731819:It's possible to do with the next version of MANTIS. Open Dueling will be one of the pairing structure options on the tournament settings screen. And where might one get the next version of MANTIS?I ask because I've read on some other threads that some head judges already have the next version.Unless it's still worked on,and in which case ...

  • Open Dueling

Hello.I'd like to know if it's possible to run an open dueling tournament. From what i understand in open dueling you pick your opponent and depending on the outcome, you win an amount of points. At the end,he/she who has the highest amount of points, wins?Am i right?I wanted to do a tournament that would be in that style, and I can't seem to find any ...

  • Re: Point System

Thank you both for your advises.I have to admit that I hadn't thought of the hobby league point system and I think I'll go with that. After all,it's already tested, and it works right?I'll let you know how it goes.

  • Point System

Hello everybody.I was planning on doing this all-nighter next weekend, and I had this idea for giving out the gifts.Since the tournament isn't going to be more than 5 rounds,it would be over in 2 or 3 hours. So I thought I could do 3 or 4 tournaments judging by the time we have, and at the end of every tournament every player gets a number of points ...

  • Denying entrance to a tournament

For the last couple of months I've been running tournaments at a coffee shop, after asking the manager for permission of course. The problem here is that it all started as a way for a little group of people to spend our Sunday mornings but eventually word spread and more and more people started coming.Of course I've never refused entrance to anyone ...
