    Help with Cards!!!

    Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman";}

    Alicia Masters and the other kid with almost the same effect state that when they are attacked the get put into the bottom of the controllers deck,  so as they are attacked they get put there which means normally the controller wouldn't be able to do much by using plot twist to raise att or def...because before the plot twist effect would work they would be put into he's or her's deck correct?

    All activations powers are payment powers because you are paying the characters ability to attack to activate the effect of its activation power.

    But not all payment powers are activation powers unless e.g.(activate >>> pay [cost], [effect])

    you are correct. although he will be able to play and modify his character, it was all for nothing...

    you should find a more efficient card... like a certain card i use to have...
    a fantastic four affiliation with the effect that said, "when [card name] is attacked, exhaust target character.
    so when they attack you normally, you can just exhaust the attacker making the attack illegal or removing the attacker...
    Can't really remember what the card's name was though...

    Re: Help with Cards!!!

    To the original poster---I'm not sure exactly what you were trying to do, so I hope you can clarify a bit.

    It's actually possible to do stuff to Alicia or Franklin before they go back to the deck, because triggered powers always, always, work by placing an effect on the chain. You will always have a chance to act before a triggered effect can resolve. There's just usually no point in doing anything before they go back to the deck, because they go back to the deck and won't be around for ATK/DEF comparisons. At attack conclusion, the game will see that there is no longer a defender and so any attackers will ready, at which point they're probably going to attack one of the characters still in play.

    Niyuhs, it sounds like you're talking about Medusa, but that's not quite right---by the time her power triggered, the attack has already started, the character has already exhausted to become an attacker, and it's too late to use exhaustion to prevent the attack from happening.
