I have searched and seen that many players post one of the same problem that i have encountered.
If there is a card that says either:
- When <character name> enters play, <effect>.
- When <character name> enters play, <character name> gets <modifier>.
- <cost>, <character name> gets <modifier>
and so on...
How come, even though the controller has a card to remove uniqueness from a certain character's name, it refers to itself?
Like Even it you have Identity Crisis and a Dr. Doom in play with either effect listed previously,
most likely the second one, and you take out another Dr. Doom, how come the effect will not work? Dr. Doom did came into play!
I have already read rule 201.2e and it doesn't apply. Neither does 201.3 because the effect is not a cost, it is a trigger.
I doubt that 201.2d is the only exception.
Here is the effect that should work regardless of which Dr.Doom enters play
Dr. Doom, Diabolic Genius (MVL-204U, MOR-111U)
Character, 4, Doom, 7/6,
Range
When Dr. Doom enters play, you may turn a plot twist you control face
down. ¶
Your opponents can't play plot twists from their hands while you
control another non-stunned [Doom] character.
