Hi everyone,

Darkmoon Faire Charlotte, NC is happening on April 24 to April 26. You can read more about the event here:

I am looking for some judges for this event. Specifically, I need 7 judges for WoW TCG and 5 judges for WoW Minis.  I can offer a shared hotel room with another volunteer, but you have a much better chance if you are local. In addition, you have a much better chance to get hotel if you can judge either of the two games. I will give all volunteers that help at this show EA cards. These include: Earth Shock, Moonfire, Gift of the Wild, Form of the Serpent, and new EAs (Curse of Exhaustion, Cairne Bloodhoof, Lady Katrana Prestor, Blast Wave, and Holy Shock).

If this is something you're interested in, please send an email to judge@upperdeck.com and also copy jared.sylva@starcitygames.com with the subject line, "Volunteer for DMF Charlotte." If you apply and are selected, you will be contacted approximately 2 weeks before the event with a confirmation email and the schedule. The following should be included in the body of the email:

* Name
* Date of birth (mm/dd/yyyy)
* UDE number
* Do you need hotel (yes/no)
* World of Warcraft TCG rules certification
* World of Warcraft Minis rules certification
* Player Management certification
* Days you are available to volunteer
* Tests you would like to take at this event
* Email address
* Mailing address (street, city, state, ZIP, country if from outside the United States)
* Phone number
* Events you regularly judge
* List of premier events you have judged, if any (Regionals, Darkmoon Faires, Nationals)
* Any special requirements (hotel, food, disabilities, and so on)

I don't suppose there are any possibilities of travel expense compensation, is there? I would love to work this event, but NC is pretty far from CA.

Is there a certain expiration date for applying to volunteer?  I was possibly planning on attending the DMF as a player, depending on how particular situations worked out.  I have no need for a hotel, and I would be happy to volunteer if I'm able to attend, but I'd hate to volunteer now and then have it turn out that I'm not able to make it.

The plan is to have a schedule for volunteers 2 weeks before the event. However, if you express interest in volunteering and Jared (event manager for this event) still needs people, I am sure he'll take you, all the way up to the day of the event (if you just show up). However, there is no guarantee that he'll need people after the 2 weeks deadline.
