    Ji'lan

    Ji'lan's

    Regeneration

At the end of ticks 5/10, heal 1 damage from each Troll ally (including this character).

Question: Ji'lan was destroyed and will not be back in play until tick7. End of tick 5, will Ji'lan's Regeneration still apply to Mojo Shaper Ojo'mon and Mojo Mender Ja'nah who is still in play?

    Thanks and Mabuhay,

    Anjelo

Yes, because her ability does not require her to be near them or even in play to resolve.

    Cheers!

    Re: Ji'lan

    Are you sure about that?

Since the Ji'lan in not in play her abilities would not affect the other players on the board.   She is not just out of play, she is dead and will not exist again until respawning.

It would be just like at the beginning of the game.  Until a player spawns, it has no affect on the game.

My ruling would be that unless Ji'lan is in play, her ongoing ability/affect, does not affect the game pieces that are in play.

WoW Minis Comp Rules and OCR:
704.2    Some ongoing abilities are triggered. A triggered ability watches for its trigger event to happen, at which point it triggers. It triggers off every instance of its event, including multiple events happening simultaneously. Unless such an ability can trigger only if its source is in play, it triggers whether or not its source is in play. Unless otherwise specified, triggered abilities resolve immediately after they trigger.

    Ji'lan, 7, Horde
    Troll Rogue—Combat, 3A 2R 7H
The Cruel Hand of Timmy [T2R1P5] (Melee)
[Crit]: Make a [P3] (Melee) attack against a defender.
Regeneration: At the end of ticks 5/10, heal 1 damage from each Troll ally (including this character).

Heart Murmur: At the end of ticks 5/10, choose an adjacent enemy character and roll 1 die. On success, add [T1] to that enemy. Repeat this process for each other adjacent enemy character.
Regeneration is a triggered ability.  It does not need for Ji'lan to be in play in order for its effect to resolve properly.

Heart Murmur is an example of a triggered ability that requires the source be in play since it references adjacent enemies.

    Re: Ji'lan

Apparently when I printing my rules, I got an older version.   I see the light now and will brush up on the newer version.
