Stardust Dragon's Negation Effect ; Priority on Special Summoning Grepher

    1. Stardust's effect mentions that it negates the Activation of a card. Does this mean that his effect must be chained right after the activation of the effect it's trying to negate?

    Example:

Gladiator Beast Secutor (special summoned by a Gladiator Beast) attacks a face up defence position Stardust Dragon. There is a gladiator beast in the graveyard. At the end of the battle phase secutor special summons Murmilo and Darius. Simultaneous effects go on chain, Murmilo being mandatory is Chain link one targetting Stardust, and Darius (optional) is chain link 2 , choosing to use the effect to special summon the gladiator beast in the graveyard. Is it true that in this scenario, Stardust cannot negate Murmilo's effect since it cannot be activated right after?

    2. Normally on summoning, turn player gets priority. Can the turn player Special Summon Dark Grepher by pitching Destiny Hero Malicious and get priority to use Malicious's effect and remove it from play (as a cost) before the oponent can play D.D. Crow?

Re: Stardust Dragon's Negation Effect ; Priority on Special Summoning Grepher

    Answer:

    1. "Stardust Dragon's" negation effect must be activated in response to the effect it intends to negate. In the provided example, it is not possible to activate "Stardust Dragon's" effect to negate the effect of "Gladiator Beast Murmillo".

    2. When the Turn Player Special Summons a monster with an inherent Special Summon effect, like "Cyber Dragon", "The Tricky", or "Dark Grepher"; they have priority and can activate the ignition effect of one of their monsters. ("Destiny Hero - Malicious", in this case)
