    East Coast events?

So far the events listed (GenCon Indy, GenCon SoCal, and Essen) are all a little far from the East Coast.  Indy would be doable, but not if there aren't any opportunities for live play.  Anyways does anyone know of events on the East Coast soon after release that have the possibility of a large WoW tournament?

As far as I know the only major con East Cost wise soon after the release will be Megacon in Orlando in Feb.  I'm pretty sure that there are a few minor cons in the northeast in November/December, but its usually a slow period for cons.

You'll probably be better off waiting for events sponsored by your local gaming goodness store.

There's also DragonCon, but the Card Game manager for DC actively discourages games that don't include mana and "tapping".  Until that changes, I wouldn't expect any significant WoW presence at DragonCon (which is a shame).

I would have included Dragoncon, but that con is over Labor Day weekend, almost two months before the release of WoW TCG.  I do agree that its a shame that DragonCon doesn't seem to ever include any CCG other than Magic, but they do offer plenty of other gaming opportunities like the Hall of Boardgames, my personal favorite. :-)

Yeah they will be missing Dragon Con by a full 2 months. Pretty much Gen Con is the last major CCG heavy con until the new season starts up next year.

There's DragonCon but that's a little close to GenCon in terms of dates (which I see has been said...)

In other news, I've run events for AEG at DC with no problems from the person in charge of CCG gaming but I have taken the last 2 years (this and last) off to relax over that weekend instead of driving home at 2am in the morning so he might have changed policies.
