To the Gen Con WOW TCG Demo Team

I wanted to thank the wonderful folks that worked WoW TCG demo at Gen Con this past weeked.  Your professionalism and your ability make each gamer feel appreciated was top notch.  The  demo tables were always busy and a member of the WoW team was always available.  Plus your location looked amazing with fantastic art from the game and kept clean (This was a big bounus with how some other vendors and retailers looked).

I want to thank Javier. (sorry I don't remeber the last name)  He demoed the game for my self and another gamer.  He kept us both entertained while explaining the game's rules.  Javier answered all of my questions and put some excitement into me, wanting to learn this great game.    I believe Javier works in the customer service center in CA.  Again Thank YOU!!!

I now have the tools to go play this TCG with fellow gamers and have a great time doing it.

I'll agree with this thread 100%.  Me and a buddy went over their to raid Molten Core but decided to look in on a demo while we waited.  We ended up chatting with a girl named Dayana who was unbelieavbly nice and made our time in the UDE area a great experiece.  On a side note we dropped Molten Core without a single death and split the Treasure Pack.  My take was Drillborer Disk, Sulfuras and Judgement Legplates, there wasn't a Perditions Blade.  PUG MC FTW.

I had the pleasure of working alongside the demo team at Blizzcon - they're definitely a bunch of great people and I honestly look forward to being able to work with many of them again -- glad to see other people have had positive experiences with them =)

Re: To the Gen Con WOW TCG Demo Team

Thanks for taking the time to post about your experience- the demo team at GenCon consisted of both UDE employees and volunteers, and from the feedback I got they all worked hard and introduced the game to a lot of newer players.  I've been on the receiving end of a lot of different demos over the years, and I agree that our booth was top-notch both in the people running it and the look and organization.

We're always interested in getting new volunteers - if you admire the job everyone did, perhaps you'd like to give it a try in your area!

Yes, thank you for this trend. We all did do the best that we can.  It is not too often I run into a trend that thanks us for the hard work we had done.

I thank you for our props.

Re: To the Gen Con WOW TCG Demo Team

I, as well, would like to thank the demo team.  I forget the name of the demoer that aided my girlfriend with playing her first game, but he did a superb job with teaching how everything worked in the game, and even cleared up a personal question of my own. The developers running MC also made it fun,and managed to Main Tank MC as the healer on the way to a win :) walked away with Dragonstalker's Legguards, 2x Legguards of Transcendence (didn't know it was possible for this to happen), and a Finkle's Lava Dredger. So yes, PUGing MC FTW!

Re: To the Gen Con WOW TCG Demo Team

It could have been any of us.  However, I do remember at least 2 couple taking the demos.  1 couple was one that was trying to get his girlfriend to learn the game again, after trying to teach her and coming back from behind to win.  If that was you, sorry for the bad beats, but she was really happy afterwards.  I remember giving her a hi five for it.

The other one was a couple who was trying to get his girl to learn to play WoW TCG, in return learn to play poker.

The whole weekend seemed to be like to be a family affair.  Grilfriend and boyfriend learning to play together, as well as dad bring son to learn and then brings daughter on the next day, to learn the game as well.  It was a great weakend.

Re: To the Gen Con WOW TCG Demo Team

I don't think that one was us, in our demo it was friday, Timmo (her) vs Omedus (me) and she had the game in control for the most part until two power word: fortitude, shadow word: pain and other discard turned it around into an omedus nuke for the win (first win the instructing guy seen with Omedus on the day). Very well done on his part though of teaching her the basics

O, ok.  That pair was heavily used by the UDE booth.

Good luck in your games.  It sure is nice to have someone at home to plat the game with.
