    In response to draw...

Hey there, just trying to work this out. There are no priority windows between the Ready and the Draw step (excluding responding to triggered effects at start of turn).
Does the first point at which priority passes to your opponent occur when you Draw a card?

For instance, I goto draw my card, my opponent sez "In response to you drawing, I play Lose Control."

And a follow on question, because it is a response, do I count the card I was drawing in the available options to play in response if it is an instant? and if it wasn't an instant, do I include it in the Random Discard effect from Lose Control?

    Thanks for the help.

    Re: In response to draw...

There may not be a priority window between the ready and draw steps, but there is one in the ready step. This is when start of turn effects go on the chain and players have a chance to respond to them; its also the first time during the turn that players get priority. It works like every other priority window in the game, meaning that you can play any instants and use an instant powers.

In addition, drawing for the turn does not use the chain and cannot be responded to. A priority window opens after the card has been drawn, and then you can play instants.

They gave me some judge levels or something, too...

Note: Lose Control isn't instant, so you probably won't be playing it in response to anything.

Sorry I was just trying to give an example from memory. But yes, there are ways to make cards instant if needed =p

ok, let's say i control any fel fire attached to opposing hero.

my turn starts. i ready everything, fel fire goes on chain, my opponent does whatever or nothing, i respond by completing "finkle einhorn at your service", resurrecting elder achillia.

legal? will fel fire now deal 2?

    Re: In response to draw...

Absolutely. Whilst Finkel Einhorn, At Your Service can only be completed in your turn, you can complete it at any point. Additionally, Fel Fire only deals damage when its trigger resolves, the damage does not tie in beforehand. Thus, if you have additional modifiers to the damage upon its resolution, they will take effect.

Of course your opponent is also free to respond to your action by playing the card they just drew, if it is an instant.

    Re: In response to draw...

There is a priority window after the ready step, and another priority window after the draw step. During these 2 windows, nobody can play non-instants (unless a modifier lets them). The most common use of the draw priority window is...

I don't want to sound like I'm nitpicking here, but this is a big source of confusion for many players. There is a priority window INSIDE the ready step and another INSIDE the draw step. Those steps don't end until their associated priority window closes.

I didn't mean to misuse the term, I should say there is a priority window after you ready.
