    Re: Halavar the Taunting

Let me know how this deck works out once you've play-rested it. I've been mesing around with my own Taunt Deck for 3 weeks now and just can't seem to get it to work. Biggest problem was Hanso who reduces my weapons to nothing on turn 6. I've been running a whole lot of interrupts instead of Puncture and Smash. Looking at your version, going for ally and equipment destruction instead might be the way to go.

    Re: Halavar the Taunting

I know what you're getting at with the taunting mechanic, and it can bring very awesome tricks (especially with Jin'rohk), but I don't believe a whole deck can revolve around it just yet. It seems like Death Knights are already on a head start with this mechanic and hopefully it will surface with Scourgewar...

P.S. - Death Grip is way better than Taunt =]

    Re: Halavar the Taunting

I ran this deck last night had to sub in Sudden Reversal for Enduring Shout (didn't get them in time)

    Few things...
I do agree that the Taunt deck is not quite up to par to the Death Knight deck just yet. Wish it was. Seeing that I don't have any DK cards I went Warrior. (might have to pick some up and test it out) Any way. The deck ran a bit sluggish. Slow and Frezzing band really hurt this deck.

Sudden Reversal with Ol' Stonewall was really fun to play and worked really well. With Tyrus and Mocking Blow or Taunt this deck is really explosive at the beggining.

This deck runs better against another player playing a hero that attacks into you so you don't to rely on the Taunts and the Blows.

Hope to test this deck some more this weekend. Thanks for posting! More Crit would be great!

    Re: Halavar the Taunting

I've found Devastate to work so fantastically with Hope Ender that I can't believe you passed up that chance by running Halavar. Run smash, puncture, shield smash, stronghold gauntlets. I did this strat using Indalamar, Kray'zin firetusk, Warcaller Zin'bawa, and to top it off a good old Vol'jin. Taunt + Hope Ender = Great fun. Then a shield for added defense and fun with smash.

    Good luck, keep testing.

    Re: Halavar the Taunting

Oh you got me thinking about changing my Hero to a Protection Hero to include this awesome card that I really just skipped over by accident. I liked Halavar's flip alot. Throw down the Quill a bit faster and start the assult. But man this devastate card is making me want to switch. Ill post a new deck list with changes later today. And yes I like the Synergy with the Hope Ender as well. Thinking on replacing Hellreaver with it. Thanks for all the feed back so far. Keep it coming!!

    Re: Halavar the Taunting

Sorry that I have not posted for a few days. Got some more testing in.

The main fault that I found (switching to Death Knight might help this) is that you need some fire power while your trying to taunt them. For a few reasons, 1 your just waiting to much and that gives them time to hurt your strat. This Strat is very easy to see coming so they have time to mess it up. 2 Same reason as the first one. You need to be doing something while you wait. Controlling there board or bringing pressure.

I believe that Death Knight has more ways of bringing the pressure. Like the new Unholy Ability coming out soon (corpse explosion)

But I will like to try and stick with Warrior because I have not went and bought a DK starter and I wasn't planning onto but if I have to I will.

Here is the changes that I have made for this deck.

    Hero: Blaine Roberts

    Abilities:
    4 Devastate
    4 Shield Bash
    4 Mocking Blow
    4 Smash

    Allies:
    4 Tyrus
    4 Ol' Stonewall
    4 Instructor Giralo
    4 Myriam

    Equipment:
    4 Fanblade
    4 Wall of the Dead
    4 Bonecracker
    4 Hope Ender

    Quests:
    4 Ring of Blood Brokentoe
    4 In defense of Halaa
    4 Totem of Coo

This deck needed more ways on killing the hero. So I added Myriam. I aslo was thinking on putting Helm of fire in because after turn 5 I will never use all my resources so I can spend them on the helms ability and have some board control going as well.

Please give me critique on making this deck better. Thanks for reading and replying!
