    Ring of Invincibility

Does anyone think this card is a little too overpowered or is everyone going to start playing heavy equip destruction to deal with it.  Dethvir + ring = you need instant kill or equip destruction.

    WOW Rules Knowledge LVL 2
    Player Management LVL 1

Qualified for NACC 2009 with an 0-3 record. Yay 6 man tournaments with top 8 qualifying.

    This card is overrated.

They gave me some judge levels or something, too...

    Re: Ring of Invincibility

How many Tier 1 decks do you know of that don't run some sort of equipment destruction?

    Re: Ring of Invincibility

    Where was it rated?

Seems like a situational card, I feel it'l improve a couple decks and could possible inspire something new.......let's hope!

    Re: Ring of Invincibility

I'm not aware of any actual rating of the card, but it's getting way more hype than it deserves. This is basically the same as playing something like Earth Mother's Blessing or another card that buffs allies: for it to be any good you not only have to draw it, you have to have an ally that can benefit from it. Granted, the ring is better than attachments as it can be used on more than one guy, stops more than one thing, and it can be run out before you have a dude to wait for a dude, but it suffers the same problem of only being good if you have a specific type of card. In other words, its very situational, and you'd rather play a card that's going to be good more often.

I honestly can't see it improving any decks, as if a deck needs improvement there are better cards. Also, as someone already mentioned, every competitive deck runs ways to turn this off. Not that they'd need them, as I don't think I'd waste removal on this: I'd just find a way to kill your guys around it and let you waste a card and resources to use it.

They gave me some judge levels or something, too...

It's a nice combo, but what deck does it go in?

I think dethvir with ring might be good enough for its own deck

    Re: Ring of Invincibility

Druids can't play it. Even it they could, it would be a waste of a slot. More dudes/Cobrascale Hood are flat out better uses of deck space.

I will, however, give you credit for the shaman totem thing. I hadn't thought about that, and it doesn't seem like a terrible idea. And by doesn't seem terrible I mean seems way better than saving dudes.

I just went back and looked at the card I had at first thought druids could you are right, and as far as totems go a local player is playing it in his totem deck and it really helped it out alot

Besides the fact that Druid can't run the ring which has already been mentioned above, neither of those decks can run Dethvir.

Is Dethvir + ring good enough for it's own deck? I guess we will see.

    Re: Ring of Invincibility

    Shaman have Undead heros.

For the Ring, the only Dethvir classes are Rogue, Shaman, and Warrior.

EDIT: INSANE IN THE MEMBRANE - I could have sworn I searched before and found Shaman, but I guess not. Only Rogue and Warrior.

    Cheers.
