3 October Garden City, MI RQ
I brought three decks: Black Ice Tempo Loraala Rush Obliveron Rush
My friend Jack showed up, and took the Loraala deck, replacing His Ossus(es[s]) with weldon from the black ice deck, as well as the fizzles (in for spell ricochets) and Corki's Ransoms, for . . . something. He ended up taking 3rd-4th place, after an upset match against previously undefeated Chad, who was playing kil'zin.
Another cat, Dan, was left without a deck when his deck bringer didn't show up, so ran the severely broken down Black Ice deck. How'd he do? he came in 1st-2nd, going 4-1 or 5-0 and conceeding so we could start the AWESOME SEALED EVENT OF AWESOME. Top prize for the limited tourney? EA Weldon Barov. (which a red hunter took home with him) There were door prizes: Random EA Cards face down, take your pick. There was another EA Weldon Barov in the door prizes. Here's the list of what we had to work with, in our "sealed" event: 1 HoA Starter 1 TtDP Starter 2 packs HoA 2 packs TtDP 1 pack DoW
Pretty nutty. I came in almost dead last, in the sealed event and still walked away with 3 EA Holy Shock.
I did poorly with my Obliveron deck, going 1-3, after a misplay against a blackice deck played by Brendon XYZ, who is from Lansing, and brought a delightful crew of cats with him.
Game one (vs) Kurzon the False Really? Awesome! This made attacking into his hero with Warbringers uncomfortable, however. I'm staring at his board, wishing he didn't have that Eye of the Storm all filled up. Then I realized: Demons can't use Locations. So round one is a cheap win.
Game two (vs) Kil'zin I get a game loss for forgetting to write down the last card in my sideboard, but we play it out anyway and I go 0-2, getting stabbed and abilitied to death and back.
Game three (vs) Blackice. I get game one, he gets game two. We chat very friendly like. Game three he gets a water elemental out that i can't completely answer. instead of going to his face, I attack into the elemental. Why? Because I made a play mistake. If i had attacked to the face, the sudden death I drew a turn later would have killed his elemental and I would have won. (damage on board, cards in hand, etc) Instead it was a dead draw, because i'd damaged but failed to kill something that shut down my board. if the SD were a Gut Shot? Okay, fine. But still, halving your number of outs is no good.
Any games after this, I can't remember --apologies to my opponents!
My decklist is pretty standard, but sans hesriannas, because I have none. :-\ I take solace one of the decks I brought made it to top 4, and the other tied for first.
I'll post the winning decklists at request.

Re: 3 October Garden City, MI RQ
I was 3-1 in the swiss, losing to Kilzin in the 3-0 bracket, and then conceded in the finals so we could start the sealed. The decklist was a little awkward, but the one thing that worked well was 4 MD Wub's (mainly cause I don't think I won a die roll.....). The main difference was no Fizzle, no Weldon, 4 Adam and 4 Wubs. Also no Corki's, which I didn't realize was missing until round 3 or 4....made Glous often pretty awkward...

Kurzon can most definitely have locations. He has no deck building restrictions other then the fact that he has no class so he cant play class cards.

Seems that per this thread: http://entertainment.upperdeck.com/wow/community/forums/thread/1832957.aspx You are correct, and I extend my apologies and a mandatory concession next we play to my opponent for that, despite the judges also ruling in my favor. ( Karmic note: No wonder I did so poorly. . .o.O)
