Was this on the same map as the North American continentals?

    Re: French National result

I really hope not, seeing as JZoo won.

Indeed, it is the same map.  Isgee already expressed my surprise and the impetus for the question about the map since the results indicated Jaina zoo won despite that team seeming unfavorable on that map.

Looking at the pictures, it is not Jaina zoo, but Jaina, Vi'gor, and Savin that won.

That would make sense.  I was going to ask what they used in their Zoo.  I'm interested to see the map for Worlds to see if Jaina/Vi'gor/Savin, Velen Wall, BIG, etc. can still make a run for the title or if they'll be made obsolete by the map.

    Re: French National result

It's well Jaina Zoo that won. (error in picture perharps).

He plays a classical Jaina Zoo with 2X kaustron 2 Call Blinky, 2 Call Old Bones, 2 Call Fury

Jaina, Summon Water Elemental, Polymoprh and not sure for the Ninth ABC (spell steal i think).

Or I was looking at the wrong photo.   Hm.  Regardless, congrats to Sandy.

    Re: French National result

Is this Scytheclaw in the photo or is he just using them as proxies for Fury?

Outch, error on my precedent post.

It's not 2X call blinky that he played, it's 2X call bloodclaw.

And in the photo it's proxy for Bloodclaw.

I think you are still right on Blinky as I see him sitting on the edge of the map.  If so, then he dropped fury for bloodclaw.

    Re: French National result

The picture is the good one, Sandy is on the right side and he had no proxy.

He played => 2 old bones / 2 fury and 2 Bloodclaw ( the raptor ). Why the raptor on this game ? To spare one tick i think. The best way to know is to ask him why ! :p

By the way, i've lost against him in final for many reason, but one of them is that Sandy is a great player. No need to discuss that point.

    Re: French National result

He appears to be playing Bloodclaws against JSV... I'm not entirely sure I understand. Old Bones is not very good due to only being able to redirect 1.5 attack (GWE attacks and some Jaina attacks if set up well), but it still seems like an odd choice. I guess he must have been playing BClaw/Fury, very offensive, and it should beat out JSV's fairly weak offense quite easily.

Interesting. (I just don't like Raptors)
