    8/29 - Indianapolis RCQ

The 8/29 Indianapolis RCQ only had 9 players, 5 alliance and 4 horde (1 Deathknight!).  4 of the 9 players were day 2 NACC competitors.  The Top 4 was 3 Horde and 1 Alliance:

    1. Horde Rogue / Skumm - Solo Ruthlessness combo burn
    2. Horde Priest / Emek - WotF with Searing Light
    3. Alliance Mage / Loraala - combo control.
    4. Horde Shaman / Sepirion - weapon/ally rush

What's the Ruthlessness combo, exactly? Trying to imagine... Hmmm...

    EDIT:
    Is this involved somehow?

Nah, that can't be it... seems too terrible....

The versions I have seen run that and basically the idea to to deathblow/rupture for 5 and then ruthlessness them back. I don't really consider that really a combo since I picture combo decks doing tons of stuff and then winning in one turn, but I guess you could get damn near winning in 1 turn or do explosive amounts of damage by reducing the cost of all the cards and presumably just adrenaline rushing into more cards.

I haven't seen it "combo out" in 1 turn but I am sure it is possible. The preparation cards are much MUCH better in block than in normal constructed.

    Re: 8/29 - Indianapolis RCQ

Basically the deck works like this:

Load up with combo such as burgle, thud, deathblow, slay the feeble, then remove with kidney, surge and rupture, then play ruthlessness. In the final round before top 4 he did 17 damage with 4 slay the feeble and a deathblow to win in time.

I think he meant rogue combos, not a traditional combo deck.

    Re: 8/29 - Indianapolis RCQ

    Thanks for posting these!

Heartburn in the Emek priest deck seems like some interesting tech. :P

EDIT: Was the Heartburn maybe actually "Horrify"?

(I'm betting the card below it with the ??? is "Vampiric Tendrils", btw.)
