Needs help with "TankMan" Style deck

Hey Guys this is my fist post I've actually ever done. I've been reading a lot for months make comments to myself here and there, but I never post. Ive played my share of Tourneys and even won a few. This new deck im building, is beleive it or not, for my girlfriend to play. I'm having a rough time putting the finishing touches on it. Right now the Deck List looks like this:

    Hero: Blaine Roberts

    Equip: (1) 4x Whispering Blade

              (1) 2x Arcanite Dragonling

              (2) 2x Doomplate Shoulders

              (2) 2x The Hands of Fate

              (3) 3x Bracers of the Green

              (4) 3x Doomplate Warhelm

              (4) 2x Shuriken of Negation

              (8) 2x Felsteel Reaper

              (10) 2x Gorehowl

    Allies: (1) 4x Steelsmith

    Ability: (1) 2x Gear Upgrade

               (2) 2x Keys to the Armory

               (3) 2x Shield Slam

               (3) 4x Puncture

               (3) 4x Pummel

               (4) 4x Shield Wall

               (4) 2x Bloody Ritual

    Quests/ Locations:

              2x Darkmoon Faire

              3x ROB: Brokentoe

              3x Darkness Calling

              2x Sunken Treasure

              4x Information Gathering

    Side Deck:

            (3) 3x Defiance

            (3) 2x Absolute Poise

            (3) 1x Shield Slam

            (6) 2x Owned

            (7) 2x Deafening Shout

I'm... just not pleased with it yet. I feel it could be slightly better. Ill take any advice openly. Thanks again for reading this post and any help you can offer.

Vindicator's Brand. It gives your Gear Upgrades some utility.

Remove Information Gathering. It's just too slow for a deck that needs to set up the early game against quick decks. I'd recommend Bane of the Illidari since you have so much equipment. You should never be without at least one piece. If you ever are, you are facing one of two of the worst cards for you, Bringer of Death or Band of the Inevitable.

Re: Needs help with "TankMan" Style deck

Why only 2 Keys to the Armory?

Up it to 4. Then you can lose the Gear Upgrades. However, still make sure you run 4x Vindicator's Brand. That thing is way too good, solid and versatile to pass up. Also you need more weapons to support Pummel.

Get some Wrecks in sideboard. Band of Inevitable and Bringer of Death destroy you. Most people only sideboard those cards, so you can get away with only sideboarded Wreck, but you need it somewhere or you basically autolose to the above two cards.

If Blaine Roberts has Engineering, get Tankatronic Goggles. If he's not, choose a hero that does have Engineering and still get Tankatronic Goggles. 2 mainboard with one or two side should do it. Very handy, versatile card. Even if its just to Own Myriam.

i think u should stick to blaine for his flip , oso add manhunt , since ur human , manhunt would be able to hit scrapper.

Re: Needs help with "TankMan" Style deck

I do like the idea of Manhunt. It also lets me see their hand. V. Brand as always been solid but idk, maybe take out the 2 shurikens? Shield Slam helps with allies or Ongoing abilities and same with Puncture for equipment. So maybe run the 2 V. Brands? I was toying with Absolute Poise over Wreck seeing how it did. I like em both. Wreck is only 1 and helps stop Band but Poise can also be used on Ability heavy decks. Thanks for the idea Matsy but i dont think that ally is meant for this deck. I could swap to Chloe for the Tanktronic but her flips is trash. Myriam doesnt scare me when each piece of armor usually taps for at least 4.

I appreciate the help Guys Keep the ideas comming.

Re: Needs help with "TankMan" Style deck

I played a warrior deck a little while ago. I see this one has a few similiar problems that it had. All of the removal was too slow (Puncture and Shield Slam). You have no good way of dealing with a turn 1 bloodsoul or Antikron. I ended up resorting to Intercept, mostly due to the popularity of Black Ice.

I wsa going to suggest Wreck in my earlier post, but Absolute Poise feels like it does the trick. This deck doesn't do much early against non-rush decks, so it can afford to leave resources open for it.

Re: Needs help with "TankMan" Style deck

I would add another Bloody Ritual, since it's such a good card and can turn a lost game into a winning one...I would also add, besides the mentioned cards, cowering shout.
Personally I think it's one of the best cards for dealing with allies out there(especially allies with hardiness).

Re: Needs help with "TankMan" Style deck

Agreed on that. Cowering Shout answers so many allies you're likely to come up against - every ally in Lionar's arsenal (besides Rehgar) and only misses Jojabee in other rush decks.
