    Sepirion the Poised

Thought I'd put together an Enhancement Shaman deck and with only a few games of testing seems to be very explosive. Its a 2nd draft so far.

    Abilities (30):
4x Maelstrom of Steel (Preparation, -1 Swing cost)
    4x Storm Shock
4x Stormstrike (Ready hero+weapon, deal +2 damage next time nature damage is dealt)
    4x Lightning Arc
4x Mend or End (Weapon has +2 atk)
4x Rockbiter Weapon (Hero is a protector and weapon has +2 atk)
3x Elemental Weapons (Weapons get +atk equal to their cost and now deal nature damage)
    3x Grounding Totem

    Equipment (16):
    4x Ashtongue Blade
    4x Whispering Blade
    4x Retainer's Blade
    4x Black Amnesty

    Quests (14):
    4x Orders from Lady Vashj
    4x Akama's Promise
    4x Forces of Jaedenar
    2x Falling to Corruption

Its very straight-forward. Play weapons, don't pay for their swing costs and use your resources for weapon buffs and damaging abilities. I suppose this deck could be either faction. Sepirion just has a nice rak-type flip.

I chose Ashtongue Blade because it swings for free and can't be destroyed by direct removal. The weapon buffs also have no problems because none of them target. (Rockbiter Weapon & Mend or End).

It doesn't have very many control elements. Grounding totem does its job, Retainer's Blade helps take out problem allies and Lightning Arc can do the same. (Especially if buffed by Stormstrike). Aside from those cards, its all-out aggro. And its fast.

You think Maelstrom is stronger than shamanistic dual wield? and whats your answer to weldon?

Man is capable of as much atrocity as he has imagination.

    Re: Sepirion the Poised

Retainers Blade works well on Weldon as does Lightning Arc on the 3 peasants. This deck can win before Weldon even hits play.

As for Shamanistic Dual Wield vs Maelstrom of Steel they are both very similar. Maelstrom is a consistant and reliable turn 1 play. In addition to that, you can play either Storm Shock, Grounding Totem or even swing with Whispering Blade of Slaying on the first turn. Maelstrom essentially opens up your turn 1 play options instead of having to play Shamanistic Dual Wield.

There are also times with Shamanistic Dual Wield where you don't want to have dual wield. I know its wierd, but having a Retainers Blade on board or hand and not being able to trigger it at the appropriate time can be a headache. However, even without Shamanistic Dual Wield there are times where this occurs anyways.

I don't see why you included elemental weapon? Changing all your damage to nature seems like an auto-loss to silvermoon. I'd replace that with rak, as striking again is sure to add more damage then adding atk = to the cost of your cheap weapons. (and maybe shamanistic dual-wield instead of the preperation card.)

    Re: Sepirion the Poised

I tested a version of this using Moala Stonebinder, though I had a couple differences. I used electrified Dagger instead of Ashtongue Blade for the Horde field out there and also for synergy with Stormstrike, and I moved Grounding Totem to the side to put Windfury Weapon in the main to imitate Sepirion's effect. It seems really strong, my games only lasted about 5 turns or somewhere in that region. I might actually build it =D

    Edit: Two more points:
1.) you can add in Bladehands/Skumm to take care of Silvermoon if necessary
2.) what about Maelstrom Weapon? Any way to make it fit and is it worth it? Also, what about Windfury Infusion?

That's about as massive a fail as it gets..
Laziest judge you'll ever meet. No, really.
