Any communication between US UDE and European UDE?

Is there any communication between US UDE and European UDE? Just to know... it always looks like NO is the answer... every time we (europeans) post here it's always a BIG WASTE OF TIME. Since there is no official European forum I expect, as a customer, that European UD check this forum as well... at least those FEW posts regarding European major events... and I'm speaking of really few few posts... we aren't asking for an answer always... I know very well that it's not their job (isn't it?)... I'm just asking for the same support that American customers recieve... or at least some... we are all very unsatisfied and frustrated here... every time we ask for something, something important that may influence a trip to a foreign DMF or hours of our life wasted testing something useless, we just have no answer... and Italian UDE is always waiting for answers as well from Holland (European HQ) so we can't count on them.

I may link some unanswered posts but I'll link only the last one:
    Turin map?

Every time the program of a main event is not CLEAR in all its parts while people are asking for clarifications it means LESS player planning the trip in time for that event. It happened for DMF:UK, for DMF:KOLN and it's happening again NOW for Torino. And we are not asking nothing complicated... or nothing that requires TIME, or WORK to recieve an answer... in this last case we are just asking which map we'll play on... we know already which one will be used in Boston, in 2 months, and we still have no idea of what's going to be used in Turin in few weeks. Take a random decision, please, but take one and tell us. Please... really... choose a random map and post it somewhere... than you may restart ignoring us again.

    THANKS FOR THE ATTENTION
An unsatisfied customer representing the Italian community (most of them) hundreds of active players/forum users and unsatisfied customers (all frustrated by the customer service since we ALL love this game).

I have to agree with the above; wasting hours in worthless testing is really frustrating, since we don't know in which map we will play on. I don't think it's that hard to post the map somewhere, please.

    The resounding silence is deafening...

I'm imagining one of two scenarios.

    Either

UDE Europe is one guy with a laptop in a closet apartment with his only internet/phone ( skype ) access being the wireless connection that pops up when the commuter trains roll by

    or

UDE Europe is like a 24/7 Animal House style frat party with guys walking around in bedsheet togas, girls running around in their underwear, and everyone too drunk to answer the phone.

The smile provoking imagery in these two scenes led me to suggest their exclusivity.

    :)

I will have to say that I think by now we should have had some clarity on the situation with UDE Europe and their complete lack of forthcoming. UDE US should at least tell us who is at fault or find out who we can get in touch with over there to find out.

Re: Any communication between US UDE and European UDE?

Heh, I'm reading up on info to prepare for the level 1 judge test (unnecessary, I know, but I want to know anyway), and I came across this little gem:

    D-16 Tournament Map Selection

Tournament Organizers make the final determination for the map that players will use during a tournament. Tournament Organizer must provide each match with the same map. They must clearly announce the map choice prior to the tournament and allow players adequate time to build their parties prior to entering the tournament."

Sounds like at DMF Koln, at least, UDE violated its own policy.

Re: Any communication between US UDE and European UDE?

The (not) funny thing is that it's pointless to complain here, since no one from UDE Europe is going to read this forum ever, or any forum.

Still, I couldnot agree more with BOTA. Lack of respect to customers means less people going to tournaments wich means less popularity for the game. It feels that the rare european players who try to promote this game are fighting against a company that does everything to sabotage their own developpement.

I suppose we won't know until we start playing there.
I'm not much concerned because the only thing I hope to win is the Mortimer the Maligned mini. 8-)
I have sent a mail asking for the map. If I get any answer, I'll post it here as soon as I receive it.
By the way, DonBota, you have a PM.

The only thing I win is honor...

Yesterday darkpact (UDE Germany) posted the map choice for Torino in a german board: Tanaris - Noonshade Ruins (same as Boston).

yes, Italian UD confirmed the same on their site...

TNX anyone for keeping an eye on the problem... generally speaking... hope for some kind of support from EU UDE here, in the future... or just more communication between all UDE staff ;-)
