    Current Top Meta.

    Heyy all!

I just started playing WoW again recently and, not knowing the current meta, I don't quite know what to expect at tournys and the such. I was wondering if anyone can post examples of each of the current top meta decks and how they work, currently I can find some of the decks but all are different and none explain how they work.

My other question was can a solid 5 turn Omedus Shadowfiend rush still compete in the meta? From what i can tell Kil'zin has taken over but it doesnt seem to rush as fast, but has more late game than the whole "if u havn't won by turn 6, surrender" theme that shadowfiend has.

    Cheers all, Giizmo.

    Re: Current Top Meta.

Omedus rush is still playable. I wouldnt really consider it a top deck though because its game plan is fairly easy to stop.  Kil'zin has the advantage of diversifying its damage into spells and weapons along with its rush allies, making it a bit harder for control decks to handle.

Plus Kil'zin has the advantage of being able to slow down opposing ally rush decks really efficiently with Arc Lightning, Perditions Blade and sometime Elements Fury.  Those cards really swing the rush on rush mirror to Kil'zins favor.

Yeah, the problem with Omedus rush is that EVERY good deck is ready to handle red ally rush.
Since it is a rush deck, it always has a chance to do well if your opponent's don't have the right cards at the right time, but a turn 2 Vexmaster, turn 3 removal, and turn 4 Doshura can be pretty damning against all but the fastest Omedus draws.

Moreover, the card Form of the Serpent is a gigantic problem as it invalidates your best lategame plan -- morlug/faesha, as well as permanently turning off shadowfiend, and being good in general.

Vexmaster hurts a bit, but Form is the real force that drove Omedus into hiding.

I remember playing against an old school Omedus Rush with my Desecrator. Mid game, he attacked with Bloodsoul with Shadow Weaving on my hero. I removed 3 counters to kill Bloodsoul, but then he played Morlug/Faesha to win.

I would say that old school Omedus would still take some poeple by surprise and still be pretty viable. How about a couple of copies of Faces from the Past to make it a later game threat also?

    Cheers.

    Re: Current Top Meta.

Thanks for all the help guys, I have been taking a look at running kil'zin and the only problem i have is that all the decklists people have posted are different. All contain some elements that are similar (perditions blade, etc) but the rest varies.

Can anyone post a solid Kil'zin build for me.

    Cheers all!

Here's Glenn Jone's Realms Championship winning deck. I would think it would be pretty solid. Although some might argue over the use of Lightning Bolt and Black Amnesty. Argue as they may, it won a Realms Champs.

    1st Place
    Glenn Jones
    Hero Kil'ein of the Bloodscalp

    Deck
    4 Bloodsoul
    4 Offender Gora
    4 Joja'bee
    4 Sha'kar
    2 Nyn'jah
    2 Kray'zin Firetusk
    4 Retainers Blade
    4 Black Amnesty
    4 Perdition's Blade
    4 Stormshock
    4 Lightning Arc
    3 Lightning Bolt
    2 Frost Shock
    2 Earth Shock
    4 Orders from Lady Vashj
    4 Dr. Boom
    2 Falling to Corruption
    2 Towers of Eastern Plaugelands
    1 The Darkmoon Faire

    Side Deck
    3 Crackling Purge
    2 Death Shock
    1 Frost Shock
    2 Nyn'jah
    2 Band of the Inevitable

    Cheers.

Kray'zin is pretty bad, I'd cut him for a Nyn'jah/Frost Shock and a Falling, probably. Rest of the deck was solid (especially the Bolts and Amnesties ;) )

Fizzlefreeze is still a very strong deck, and even stronger with Weldon and Mystic Denial.
