Hi

So, this is the third version of the omedus the punisher deck. I need some advices. I beat everyone in my neighborhood with it and lose rarely..(like two times in two months)

Anyway, I'm not quite sure if it will have a chance for the next regionals in montreal.

Here's the decklist:

Omedus the punisher

Allies:

2x dark cleric ismantal : almost useless execpt in late games and I'm not sure if I should drop them.

4 x Bloodsoul

2x guardian steelhorn

2x mias the putrid

4x shadowfiend but I only have one in my deck right now.

4x jazmin bloodlove

2x osha shadowdrinker

1x dawn ravensadale

2z historian firana

total: 23 a bit too much. but comes to 20 if I don't count 3 x shadowfiend.

Abilities:

4 x shadow word: pain

2 x vampiric touch

4x shadow weaving (I only have 2 right now)

2x shadow form

4x canibalize

3x mental anguish

2x shadow word: agony

2x mana burst

2x shadow word death

2x mind spike

2xtouch of darkness

total:29

equipements:

mana-sphere shoudlerguards x2 (I don't have some yet)

1x soul eater's handwraps

2 x akama's sash

total: 4

quests:

4x forces of jaednar

2x zapped giants

2x the secret comprimized

2x against the illidari

2x a new plague

4x finkle einhorn at your service

2x the root of all evil

total: 18

and the final total:  74 ouch...

side deck:

So, I obviously need help.. I have to remove some cards.  So there are a little bit of winning options:

the first one is putting dots on your opponent and having some shadow weaving on him..

Getting a big defence with allies. I can put shadow weaving on my oponent and start hitting him with shadow allies. And there's the dawn ravensdale effect that can bring me at least 14 dmg with omedus' effect. I put some the secret comprimised and some historians cause I want to have a good control on my oponent's hand. I know that I can't have both mind spike or touch of darkness but I don't know wich one to pick. I'm not sure but I'm thinking of dropping the "the root of all evil".

I just added mana burst so I could test it with shadow weaving but I won't mind removing them from my list. I got a small problem to interrupt though. And I got a small problem too. I often draw things that discard around turn 6 to 9 (if my oponent last ) and these cards always end in my resources because my friends usually don't have any cards in they're hands..  And I'm sure I'm not the only shadow priest that struggles with this problem. That's the reason why I removed my pact of shadows and my anathema and rebuilt my deck.

Some Real quick advice would be to drop one of ur 2of quests becuase 16 is still good u dont want to be drawing to many quests on ur muligan to.

The deck seems decent. I'd just try to cut some of the 2-ofs to make it more consistant.

he means the cards you only have 2 of. its a coin flip if you will see them in any given game.  A 3 of means you should see one per game. A 4 of is almost a guarentee that you will see one and should have it in opening hand. 

I just noticed you had 74 cards!?  You have to trim it to 60 or you will lose more than you will win at any given tourney.  What you are looking for is consistancy.  You can't get that with few copies in a large pool of cards.  When I started I was like you .. couldn't decide what to get rid of... just pick a win condition or two and trim the deck to meet those needs.

 

i just kind of threw this together with your cards and some easy to get ahold of stuff. 60 cards on the button. when you get more shadow fiends take out the extra 3 cards from somewhere.

That seems like a pretty good deck if I have 4 shadow weaving. I think I'll follow that decklist but for now I think it won't be that good. But a priest without protectors!!!!! how am I gonna survive?!? lol but I figured ot that shadow priest need a lot of quets I don't think I'll survive with 12 lol. wiat maybe I could drop the vexmasters for protectors and I think I'll add the vampiric touch but I'll stay with 60 cards. Thx for the reply! I'll rebuild my deck now!

Vexmaster Nar'jo is far superior to protectors due to the fact you can play him and attack an ally, and unless the opponent has instant removal, he takes the ally out. With protectors, you play them and then the opponent has their whole turn before they attack to deal with the protector. They both do similar jobs but Nar'jo does it better.

but whoow wow wow wait! If I have some julia graves, I won't heal that much with canibalize.. I know that I can take my oponent's allies but if he doesn't have that much? should I put 2x greater heal in my ressources?

julia isn't there for her ability.. just that she is a 2/1 with shadow damage for 1 resource. this works with your shadow weavings.

I'd have 3 or 4 of Shadow Weaving, Mind Spike, and Mana Sphere Shoulder-guards.....that's a good combo

yes but in the decklist that you've post for me, you said 2 shadow weavings and that's a coin flip. but the deck seems to be based on shadow weavings

I just wanted to give you help where possible.  If you want.. add another shadow weaving.  Or abandon that card can look for something else. She is the only other decent 1 drop that does shadow damage.

Another soft combo is wormwood + zaistor the vigilant + shadowfiend + osha, yes four cards but it can work.

Nice combo. Janktastic, but nice.
