Ret pallies normally use allies because Sanctity Aura is so good. Lots of holy allies do los of damage.

You know, I never noticed how much that aura was like Shadow Weaving, only ever so slightly better because it doesn't target their hero.

Everything I tell you is a lie.

    I *love* Jank.

See you all at Mulgore's Realms Championships!

Re: tourney worthy ret paladin decks?

With Sanctity Aura up, hammers of wrath turn into the biggest boom for your buck in the game at this point correct? 1 Resource 5 Damage?

Consectrating for 4 Damage across the board generally solves any rush issues. Skullflame shield a great answer to the loss of Ret Aura, I prefer the new mag shield though.

Against the big solo monsters you're going to need some equipment removal which just isn't something paladins are awesome at solo. With paladin I just don't see running solo. There's potential for boom here, but not enough answers for everything minus allies.

Cudgel is by far one of the scarier things to come upside my head in a tournament of late. Coupled with a seal of the Martyr you can keep the ally rush coming aye. I prefer seal of command if you're already running Ret though. Now you swing for 5, and deal another 4 holy assuming you're using the Cudgel. And should they exhaust (Not that you can't exhaust them) or one of their allies comes out that needs answering, 6 Damage for 1 resource with the delicious aura still out...

We're talking about a turn that should you Hammer of Justice, Beat them upside the head with the cudgel+Command, then Sac Command, 15 damage, for 5 Damage, which is alright for a finisher, but the wraths are what tie the wrap the whole thing up in my book.

Unpreventable 5 Damage for 1 Mana with the aura up is worth tears if that does stack correctly. Instant...Instant...I need a towel.

There's a Seal of the Martyr? I think you mean Redemption, right?

If you can somehow fit it in, what about using Crusade? More attack usually doesn't hurt...

Re: tourney worthy ret paladin decks?

        It's Raining Demons
     Hero: Hekto (Blood Elf)
    25    Abilities

    4    Personal Weather Maker
    4    Crusade
    4    Winter Wondervolt
    4    Exorcism
    3    Judgement of Light
    3    Sanctity Aura
    3    Seal of Command

    9    Equipment
    1    Demonslayer
    4    Teebu's
    4    Quagmirran's

    11    Allies
    4    Xanata
    3    Tyrennius
    3    Vindicator Kaldel
    1    Ishanah

    15    Quests
    3    Natural Remedies
    3    Orders from Lady
    3    Solanian's
    3    Dr. Boom!
    3    Sunken Treasure

    10    Side
    4    Sacred Purification
    4    You, Robot
    2    Silea

The deck has a bunch of ongoing abilities, so why not throw in a personal weather maker to make them tough to destroy.  Quagmirran's to make the abilities cheaper.  Wondervolt to make all allies demons.  Exorcism because it's a 1-cost instant demon destruction card (did I mention all allies are now demons).  Crusade to buff up attacks and destroy all demons.  Demonslayer for late game to destroy more demons.  Teeb for early game because it's 1-cost, 0 to swing (using crusade +  seal + aura for damage so no need for a big weapon).  And yes, Xanata and Tyrennis are holy protectors with nice numbers so they work well with the aura.  (Untargetable judgement of light on opposing hero should be okay for healing).  Natural Remedies and Dr. Boom! should go in any PWM deck - which is the only kind of deck I seem to make these days.

Nothing more glorious than dominating someone with jank.
