I like the fact that they put Matt Hyra onto the Mini Onyxia raid.  I'm hoping that they make a huge Onyxia dragon miniature...It will look nice with all my other Dragons I have in my office at home.

They are making an Onyxia mini. She'll be unveiled at the GAMA tradeshow in Vegas this coming Monday. So, hopefully we'll see pics soon.

Onyxia is, reportedly, 26" from nose to tail, and has a two foot wingspan!

It kills me not to be able to attend GAMA, but I have to mind my store!

If they were selling the Onyxia set I would be on a plane to get it.  However since they are just going to be unveiling it, I can wait for the pics to show up.  

 

Since the game is done on a Hex map, and Onyxia is about 2 feet long by 2 feet wide, The raid rules must either have its own large scale map or is played by a different set of rules. 

Either way, I will enjoy it.

god that thing is gonna be huge.......and i bet the price will kill our budgets too. But I'm more interested in a Molten Core Raid pack as thats my favorite Raid Deck in the TCG. Could you imagine having to face all of those Boss Miniatures one after the other all the way to Ragnaros? Now thats something I would glad pay lots of money for.

I'm on travel for the next several weeks.  Currently in WV...  I would have loved to make the trip to Vegas to see the unveling of Onyxia.  I think that the minis has a lot of potential, and I'm excited to see where they take it.  The fact that they are coming out with a Raid Event around/at the time of release will be interesting to see.

As for the price, I've got a feeling that the Raid Event is going to be a bit pricey, but unlike the TCG people probably will not need to buy several sets to find that certain loot, or to customize the event.  But then, I could be wrong as well.  Time will tell, and very shortly.  ;)

Sweet thought. To give an estimate I'm thinking that the Set will probably be about $60 to $80. 

I do not see the raid set being more than $80.  any thoughts on this?

its definitely possible, but im not counting on anything till i see Onyxia and what they plan to include with it. But as ive said before, im more interested in seeing a Molten core box set next year than the dragon, though i will buy it anyway.

wow...........thats cool...i think i might as well quit the TCG for this. was getting bored with it anyways, and i like tabletop games like Clix and Heroscape (my personal favorite) anyway. looking forward to those ability cards.

I see the edge of a purple demon (Varimathras anyone?) as well as a goblin on a shredder robot and an undead priest (Omedus FTW).  That voidwalker, i'm pretty sure thats a voidwalker, looks damn sweet.

There's also a Naga on the "sell sheet inside3.pdf" in the zip file.

And the power point presentation is worth the download.  Even unpainted, Ony looks sweet.
