The cheapest Saltwater Snapjaw on eBay right now is $99.50 including shipping.

http://www.wowtcgame.com/ebay/dealfinder.asp?query=Saltwater%20Snapjaw%20Loot

Re: Rarity of cards/Loot Cards

Considerably cheaper. Not at all biased by running a store.

Actually, the Raid decks contain a treasure booster each. That booster might contain a loot card from the previous main set. After a rough estimate at the odds of drawing a loot from those, we worked out it was cheaper to random buy raid decks than random buy core sets. Plus, the treasure cards have a higher secondary market value generally.

Either way though, buying from ebay/stores is much, much cheaper then both options.

Oh, and Kaal's okay but very niche. There's a couple of decks that really abuse his power but none of which are mainstream enough in the metagame to rise his price considerably.
Re: Rarity of cards/Loot Cards

1680929:

I read in a previous thread, how to indicate the rarity of cards. I found that I have a purple (epic) card called Kaal Soulreaper. Is this good? Can I do anything with the card? Also, how can I look to see which cards are Loot Cards? I ordered 40 packs of cards from Blizzard's website in hope of receiving some loot cards to upgrade my character.

Thanks for reading.

- Chris (KinkyKong on Korialstrasz realm)

There are a total of six loot cards, three from Heroes of Azeroth and three from Through the Dark Portal. They are Legendary versions of otherwise rare cards.

Heroes of Azeroth:
Landro Longshot (Tabard)
Thunderhead Hippogryph (Baby Hippogryph non-combat Pet)
Saltwater Snapjaw (Turtle Mount - walking speed)

Through the Dark Portal:
Rest and Relaxation (Picnic setup)
King Mukla (Monkey non-combat pet)
Fortune Telling (fortune telling imp)

You can easily tell the Rare version from the Loot/Legendary versions becase the rare versions will not feature a scratch-off strip in the text-box and will also show the rarity as Blue (rare).

The HoA loot card rarity was reported as the Tabard loot being equivalent to a single rare, Hippogryph equivalent to a single epic, and the Mount equivalent to double the rarity of a single epic. This comes out roughly to be one per four boxes of packs, one per case and one per 2 cases or 1:96 packs, 1:288 packs and 1:566 packs. The actual ratio is a tad bit smaller than these numbers, but it gives you a general idea. An epic card is twice the rarity of a rare card.

If you are really in it only for the cosmetic upgrades, I suggest going to Ebay or an online seller. It will be much cheaper for you in the long run.
Rarity of cards/Loot Cards

I read in a previous thread, how to indicate the rarity of cards.
