Re: MWS - Guide - v3.0 - How to play WoW TCG online

There was another version of SoB briefly put out by another user, prior to mine coming out.  If for some reason they didn't overwrite with version 3.0, and still have that beta version, then you won't be able to see their cards as both you and opponent are using different version of SoB.  Another reason may be someone decided to update my SoB with better images or to correct an error they found.  If they did that, and are using their own modified custom set, then you won't be able to see cards. My next official update will be coming out with the next set release.  It will include all the digital images from UDE's website, and will have new advanced filters.  Until then, if you keep experiencing this problem, let me know and I'll see what I can do to ensure everyone has the same up-to-date version.

Hey Tiny....just out of curiosity - will you update the current SotB file with the new digital images from wowtcgdb.com before HfI comes out, or doing all at once with the new set?

The updated images are already done.  I was planning on holding off on the release until Penek, Phenyx and I get the new filters added in and get sealed deck working.  I don't want to do a release every few days for each set, so once everything is updated, we'll do one big release again, but I'll also archive all for people who want to download in parts.

Well, I googled "download mwSet World of Warcraft" and it comes up with some of the sites that offer the patches.  Here is one that was posted in the forums Download Feast of Winter Veil Set for MWS .  But the below information at this site:

    http://itsthedoc.net/archives/2007/08/how_to_play_wow_tcg_online.php

How To: Play WoW TCG Online

    Collect Your Items!

    Step 1: Download Magic Workstation.
Step 2: Download something to uhh... "register" the program.
Step 3: Download the WoW TCG Patch

    Start the installing!

Step 4: Install the workstation (mws094f.exe)
Step 5: Patch the workstation (Magic.Workstation.v.0.94f.exe)
Step 6: Install the Patch (Run the .exe inside of TopTierGamingMWSWoW_V3.zip) in the same directory as the workstation (which you installed in step 4)

    Configure this ***!

Step 7: Go to the workstation folder (X:\Program Files\Magic Workstation). Open the program up. Ignore all boring error messages and dialog boxes.
Step 8: File > Assign Default Master Base > WoW.mwbase. The program will shut down.
Step 9: Go to the themes folder - open it up. Delete "Default.mwTheme" and rename the other one in there (TTGWOW.mwTheme) into "Default.mwTheme"
Step 10: Open the program again, hit F10 to get into the options. Go to interface then switch the layout to "Default" and hit ohkiedokie.

    All is done!

    To make your deck
Press Ctrl-F2 to get into the deck creator. Make sure to put your hero into your SIDEDECK (green arrow), so you'll have 60 cards in the main and 11 in the sidedeck.

This resonse here was key for me getting it to work, hopefully anybody still needing advice can just follow these directions.

So far pretty cool, Im still trying to figure out how to solo test decks vs other decks...

Re: MWS - A complete guide to playing WoW Online.

Is anyone else having a problem installing the crack?  I've tried running it from the desktop, from the MWS folder, with and without my virus scanner, and nothing happens.  I click it, there's a brief pause, then...nothing.

I have been randomly logging onto the servers I have seen listed in this thread to try to find games.  I havent seen any games yet in the last 4 days.  Is there a comphrensive list of servers?  Im curious if im looking in the wrong place.

    so far I have tried

    mwsplay.net
    mwsgames.net
    Pavouk.square.cz
    mws.ligamagic.com

and a couple others that i cant remember right now.

Re: MWS - A complete guide to playing WoW Online.

I just play on the default server.  There aren't as many games going on as Magic but if you're patient enough one will pop up eventually.  If you can host try doing that too.

Yeah, i don't usually see many games, but if I host one, I get an opponent in a minute or two.

What is this site for exactly?

If this site is for playing TCG online, could I use decks that I made up or are there decks that are made for you?

Someone remind me how to set it so my 'Life' always begins at zero.. I found a way to do it on my desktop some time ago, but now that I am lugging a laptop around, and want to do it again, I can't recall where/how..

It's on the new game screen, where you load your deck. just type 0 into the box that says "Starting life"

Note: I had to do this setting in "Test deck in solo mode" since this screen never popped up when contecting to other players online.

Re: MWS - A complete guide to playing WoW Online.

downloaded the program and the full wow sets patch, but the theme is still the standard magic frame with the wow images inside the magic art window.  How does one go about removing the pesky magic card frame?  Thanks a bunch.
