i'm glad people are organizing around the bay area.  i'm looking for some friendly games around the peninsula or sf state if anybody is interested.  i played magic back in high school like 6 years ago...refreshing to smell new cards again, but a little rusty.  i'll keep looking for peninsula stuff...i hope some of you are interested.

Wow, What's Hot does a tournament for WoW? I usually hang out there on Saturday, but I'll look into how good of a job Greg does with the new game on the block.

I am looking for some regular players I am currently playing at Who's on First at about 2-6 pm Monday-Thursday. I play in the tournaments every Sunday at 1pm there as well.  If your interested email me at nsdonlogan@gmail.com I am looking for a group of about 5-6 people who want to consistantly play.  If enough of us show I am sure weeknight tournaments will start to be played.

For What's Hot in Santa Clara, there were only 4 of us to play a Constructed.  1st place got 4 packs, 2nd place got 2 packs, 3rd and 4th got a pack.  $8 to play.  Looks like Dublin is the place to go if you're in the San Jose area until What's Hot, Game Kastle, and the place in Great Mall get some UDE tournaments going.

Added you to the calendar Cherie.  The Bay Area has too many Sunday events.  Any chance your store would switch to Saturday?

    And congratulations on the dragon-slaying.

Re: Bay Area Calendar - Regular WoW TCG Play

I figured all the other popular tournaments are on Saturday and that's why WoW is on Sunday.

Why does everyone do it so late in the afternoon too?  Alot of guild raid Sunday because the next day is a working day and they will usually raid 3pm PST if they're an EST guild or 5pm PST.

Re: Bay Area Calendar - Regular WoW TCG Play

Dartaan, I don't think it really matters how early in the day a tournament is.  Even if it started at 11 in the morning, it wouldn't end until probably 4 pm.  So unless you're guild is starting raids after that, will it matter?

I stand corrected; it does make quite a difference for you if a tournament starts at 11 or 1.
