Is there a shortage on the cards?? Everywhere in my area (60mile radius) is sold out.  Was wondering if there is a shortage or just bad ordering by all my dealers in the area...Also i noticed the website is sold out as well.  Seems like the only place available is EBay.  I was able to purchase a starter/4bootsers and want to get a few boxes...Any suggestions...

There is a shortage at the moment.  All the crazy wow players bought up all of the supply. lol. they are printing more though and availablilty should come back up soon and prices will hopefully go back down.

Also, my LGS had a contest.  For every $20 you spent on WoW cards, you got your name put into a hat.  I won a free WoW time-card through that.  YeeHaw!

I did a little research today.

A few gaming stores ordered 600 boxes and many gaming stores ordered 1 box. Plus, everything in between.

Very interesting spread of order quantities, which makes it very hard for distributors to know how much to order.

Having said that, waves are going out each week for the next 3 weeks and a large wave is hitting a couple of weeks after that, which should accomodate almost everyone.

We demo'd the game in Baltimore and loved it.
We took a shot and ordered all our entire booster allocation.
Messed up on the starters though.

 

To all the players out there, check your FLGS first to see if they have it in stock.
Especially if that's where you play.
Just my 2 cents.
