    Dralor and the druids

So on paper I am always making teams that are based on a rogue and Mortimerx3.  I have been writing up a Dralor, Moonshadow, Vig'or team more recently.  I finally play tested it this sunday but the team BigBowler was playing against it was B.I.G.  It was srprisingly effective.  In the first game it actually pushed Big off of the VP.  Still It has it's issues.

    1.  What do I play when etangled Roots is not needed?  I went with starfire and it was ehh.......

    2.  Will this team be able to handle Mortimers if they can jump out of the roots?  I think if they are played spread out (Matt Whaite Style) I can catch them by letting them choose who to sacrifice.  But I am not sure not having actually played it out yet.  No one in my group (all two of us) has 3 morts.  My thinking is to run Vig'or after one and Moonshadow and dralor after another.  To deal with Jhroon I will just use evasion.  Marvelous card choice  vs big!  Ignoring Jhroon to get to Mortimer.  Kill Mortimer to get rid of Jhroon.  Both Druids will sport Cat form.  This build handle dots ok but what if they went for the tick up Pet  instead of Jhroon?  Would I  be likley to get locked down?

    3.  If I can catch one of them what happens then?  Will they get away with the game with me not having Rootsx2 back online until after ten?

    4.  VS big I split up my party to avoid doubble AA.O.E.  That at times stopped me from getting Hemorage from all my guys.  Was this the correct choice tactically for me?

    Abc so far follow

    Moonshadow

    Entangled Roots

    Cat form

    Starfire

    Dalor

    Expose Armor

    Evasion

    Ambush?

    Vig'or

    Cat form

    Entangled Roots

    Starfire

Ok fire away!  Thanks in advance.

    Re: Dralor and the druids

I'm soo out of the loop of testing that I can't give you any really solid advice about the team other than to say I love Vi'gor and I really like Dralor and Moon seems to be a decent third.

That said, does anyone else think it is likely that Souls will have a Dash (is it sprint?  whatever its called) card for cat form the same way that lacerate is a bear form card?  If so, doesn't that make this team awesome?  I mean it seems that one of the biggest weaknesses hear is its lack of range and a sprint-like card would pretty much clear that away.

Feral Charge! Causes you to leap behind the enemy and stun them.

Would also love to see Mangle. Either one of those could be set up as an ABC that either bear or cat form could use.

    Re: Dralor and the druids

I am just glad to finally get some one to respond to this post.  Entangled roots is how I will get to them.  That being said: I have always thought cat form should be movement plus 1.  If cat form gets some more movement it will be crazy good!

    Re: Dralor and the druids

We've already seen how nearly-broken-crazy-good Cat Form can be with Jaina/Vi'gor/Boots of Utter Darkness.  As such, I'm glad there's no additional move +1 written into the ABC.  Besides (not that it REALLY matters, but...) cat form in the MMO provides no speed increase in and of itself.

I wanted to give everyone a list of all the trustworthy people who traded with me on this site, but it exceeds maximum character length. To me, that's a hopeful sign.

    Re: Dralor and the druids

Cat form provides a Dash ability akin to the Rogues' Sprint, and that's what TehHuntre was talking about hoping to see some day.

I do like Vi'gor with Maggy. him with boots and cat form, her with Nightmare Blade and Crusader Aura makes for some fun times.

    Cheers!

Did they change the Feral talents? It's been several months since I've played, but there used to be a talent points that increased your movement speed in cat form by 20% pretty early on in the feral tree. It made chasing stuff down while stealthed so much easier.

    Re: Dralor and the druids

I stand by my statement, as I specifically typed "in and of itself."  Yes, Dash is available to cat form druids in-game, but that would almost have to be represented for minis as an action bar card restricted to cat form, similar to the way Lacerate is for bear form.  And yes, you can spec a feral druid to gain an increase in speed via talents while in cat form, but to represent that, the play-testers would need to engineer a specific feral druid that takes into account the advantages of move +1 being included in all the other benefits of a single Cat Form ABC.

    Geez, you guys!

    Re: Dralor and the druids

Yeah, no, ( <~~ I like saying that), that's what I'm saying.  I think a cat form with dash built in would be too much (maybe you could have a cat form with a different/worse attack and dash built in, but that is different).  To gain access to the dash that I'm envisioning it would cost an ABC to play it.

If it going to cost me an abc then it had better be worth more thank just running an extra space.

    Re: Dralor and the druids

It would almost have to, as Swiftness Potion already exists to provide that specific effect.  Maybe it would have Recharge.

    Re: Dralor and the druids

I think I had a rogue sprint in mind, it would allow you to keep stealth.

EDIT:  I jsut looked at wowhead feral druid spells.  Really there are a lot of them that can translate into some coolness for the CMG.

If it allows you to keep stealth it's perfect.  If it has a recharge omg!
