Are you going to be giving out the Disco Inferno loot at this tournament? If so may want to put it on the flier.

Without a doubt.  I am currently working on the Prize Support with Will.  I should have that completed within a day or two and we will get it posted.

Re: The Third Leg of BattleGroundSanDiego will take place July 19th in OC

The event is coming fast.  We have just over a week left to really get the word out.  I am counting on the players at the last two events, as well as the OC, LA, SD, and Riverside regulars to come represent their areas and stores.

In order for this event to really go over the top, the players will need to be an integral part.  Please assist me in these efforts.  If there are any contact lists, stores, players clubs, etc that I have missed, let me know so I can get some fliers out there.

    Keep flippin

Re: The Third Leg of BattleGroundSanDiego will take place July 19th in OC

Patch has not lost a constructed match since the last event. That is 1 Battle Ground SD; 1 Continental Qual, 1 Blizzard Sponsered Tournament and a Upper Deck Store BG (think it was best of 3 as I do not count one game matches).

You can count on me being there and my friend I would with Own said he would be there.

BC - shouldn't have given it 5 stars. That should be reserved for long running threads about tourneys in a particular place. Not one offs.

    Cheers.

This is not a one off. This is the third tournament the guy has organized.

Have you seen his website? Who else is out there posting that many decklists for players to enjoy? And he knows people are enjoying them because his website hits exploded after he posted the decklists. Went from 8 a day to 80 a day.

He paid for the hotel halls out of his own pocket for the last two tournaments. He supplies his own prize support and up until now UDE is not helping him in any way.

He puts allot of cash and time into this.

He is the only guy who has run a sanctioned tournament in San Diego this year besides the PTO before they were canned.

Also the players have been backing him donating things like SoB Deckboxes, SoB playmats, signed EA cards, normal EA cards and loot cards for prize support.

Think the least UDE can do for this guy is give him a 5 star on his forum posts since he is doing so much to support the game and he obviously has the players support in the area.

This guy has really helped the game since we are getting crap from UDE in terms of constructed OP support.

Re: The Third Leg of BattleGroundSanDiego will take place July 19th in OC

Fine - still not 5 stars worthy.

Why not create a 'Battlegrounds San Diego' ongoing thread that is updated with every tourney from now forever. the more views and posts, representing an ongoing thread with make it worthy.

    Cheers.

Re: The Third Leg of BattleGroundSanDiego will take place July 19th in OC

    Brit,

Fortunately for me I didn't set the 5-star rating.  One of our readers must have.  For which I thank you by the way.  In regards to the manner of my postings.

I prefer to start new threads for each event.  It is much cleaner and makes it much easier to respond to and find the content you are looking for.

As for the Southern California region, if it wasn't for Gamer, Noah amd Will, we would be dramatically underrepresented.  With the exception of Will, Gamer and Noah make all the posting for a majority of the stores in the South Land, which is a little unfortunate.  But it is what it is.

As far as our tournaments, Gamer is correct in that I front all the cash outlay myself.  I plan the event, maintain the website, post pretty regularily and manage my own e-mail database.  We are putting together one hell of a grass roots effort and Gamer, Noah, Will, and Patch have been instrumental in assisting this and in alot of cases, taking the lead.  In addition, Jeff, our judge for the events, puts aside his desire to play in events and makes himself available for every event to date and continues to do so.

We as a region have a hell of a base of flippers and my only goal has been to bring them together on a consistent basis of every three to four weeks and provide one hell of an event.  Eventually I would love to see the event and attendance grow and see some of the great players from the other regions make their way down.  This includes some of the greats from Northern California and Arizona.

Keep the great suggestions coming, keep the communication going, keep the cards flipping.  It may take a little time, but we are on our way.
