In order to reduce post clutter and make the forums more readable, we will be limiting signature images to a maximum size of 504 pixels by 100 pixels. That's 504 horizontal and 100 vertical.

This will make sure that the content of the forums doesn't get overwhelmed by the repeated images in signatures. It will also help users on a slow connection.

This policy will go into effect on Friday, July 3rd. After that time, any image that is too large will be removed from users' signatures.

I don't know how difficult it was to code, but the last forum I was involved in had it set so a user's sig only appeared once per page (on their first post) even if they had multiple posts on that page.
