2469666:Hey, I'm an Active Warcraft MMO Subscriber (Multiple Accounts, Dual-Boxing, etc.) and I really need a hobby to get me off my ass while I'm layed off from work. I have experience with D&D, Magic, Pokemon, Warhammer and other various games. If I'm a Warcraft Player would the card game be good for me? I live in the South Bay and recently heard the news that just hit The Third Planet. Where would be a good place to drive to learn the game? Where could I get a demo or maybe a game to get my beak wet? I live in Hawthorne right off the 405.
Hey reading your posts makes me want to get all paranoid because that story is so familiar.
If you like card games you will love the WoW TCG in my opinion.
Also South Bay is a great place to be a WoW TCG player. We have some of the best store events in my opinion in terms of attendance. Also the local more competative events like Realms/Regionals are really fun and organized very well.
Good place to go and learn is the Upper Deck store on Saturdays. We draft there every week at 3:30 but if you show up at 3:00 (maybe even earlier) pretty sure you will find players there waiting for the Battleground.. Just let us know who ya are and that you are learning the game. We will gladly show ya the ropes.
The Friday night Edgeworld is just starting up. I know most of the people who go there and I am sure they would all be willing to help you out.
The news on Third Planet was sad. Too bad too because we had the Friday Night WoW running there with 6-8 people. Now part of that crowd has moved to Edgeworld. Just got a e-mail saying they may not close afterall though.
Things are starting to pick back up from the Holidays which imo makes it a perfect time to learn the game.
