Anyhow it doesn't hurt you if I do it so if you don't want to report the contents of your boosters have at it.  If the idea is so anathema however I'll make a seperate thread that you can pointedly ignore.

man you dont need to bring your bitterness to this thread. a simple explanation like the subsequent post you made would be enough.

Re: Christmas came early at Blizzcon

Guys, let's all be friends, eh?

I understand skepticism from newer CMG players about why box pulls would be important.  Now that there's an explanation about why the pull lists are important, the information is out there and folks can post or not post their booster pulls as they like.

Personally, I'd appreciate more pull postings because more information is better, but it's also kind of a pain to document pulls, so I understand if folks don't want to go through that effort.  But either way, it's a choice individuals will make on their own and everyone should respect the choices of individuals now the everyone has all the information.

Re: Christmas came early at Blizzcon

As a follow up point...if the boosters at BlizzCon were specially sorted to match the cover art, isn't there a chance that the distribution might be different anyway in the general release?

The distribution will in fact be different in the general release, as was indicated by Patrick on the last page.

I really wasn't trying to sound antagonistic.  I read your post as dismissive of something i felt was pretty important to the competitive community.  Its probably a case of projecting an attitude that was not there into your post, and I apologize.  I'm used to there being pretty distinct camps of players ( the 'for fun' crowd and the 'for competition' crowd ).  Its frustrating to hear people try to answer questions or solve issues by just saying 'play the game different' instead of trying to appreciate that other people get different types of enjoyment out of the same game.  Regardless, pull contents are very important to the competitive crowd, and when people start getting the real boosters instead of the blizzcon ones ( which as we have found out have a dissimilar distribution ) I plan to make a post requesting pull contents until we get the pools down.

Re: Christmas came early at Blizzcon

This is going to be pointless since Blizzcon packs were apparently different from what we'll get after release, but here's some info for anyone that wants it anyway. I opened 7 boosters, and I got three duplicates. 2 harvest golems, 2 timmo shadesteps, 2 sunscale scytheclaws. I don't remember what I opened with what, but at least I do remember that the duplicates didn't come together in groups. I heard that someone got a booster with one epic, one rare, and one common (I *think* most people that got epics got them in an "epic, common, common" booster, but I may be wrong) [EDIT! I WAS wrong. See two posts below me.] so even that is possible, but who knows if it'll be true after release.

I felt so unlucky as I watched everyone else pull epics while I pulled duplicates, but I guess the epic rarity is 1/8, and I did only open 7. Which means the next booster I open will have my Tyrande, right? Riiiiiight? D:

Re: Christmas came early at Blizzcon

There was an article a while back that talked about rarity which said that epics should replace one of the commons.  But, since it seems the distribution in general was a bit messed up for the Blizzcon packs, so I guess that may have been messed up as well.

Re: Christmas came early at Blizzcon

Every pack that had an Epic that I paid attention to at BlizzCon had 1C-1R-1E, and I believe this is to continue after launch.

As far as I know, the distribution was messed up only as far as faction was concerned; rarity shouldn't have been affected.

Ah. Thanks for the correction, Larry.

Re: Blizzcon--which judge were you? I was the asian girl crying about needing a Tyrande who kept having to call you guys over because my opponents had judges who'd ruled erroneously about line of sight in their previous matches. Haha.

I had a lot of fun playing the minis at Blizzcon =)

I was the heavyset judge with the gotee and glasses. Now that I've narrowed it down to about 10 judges... :P

I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'm really excited about the game too. :)

Re: Christmas came early at Blizzcon

I pulled the following three packs between a starter and a sealed event.

    Horde Pack

    Haruka Skycaller - R

    Mojo Shaper Ojo'mon - C

    Ji'lan - C

    Alliance Pack

    Grumpherys - R

    Victoria Jaton - C

    Lorlai Risingmoon - C

    Monster Pack

    Frostsaber Prowler - C

    Sunscale Scytheclaw - C

    Storm Rager - R

From what we saw and heard at Blizzcon, the distribution is apparently 'Random Common from faction, Random Rare from faction, Random Common from faction or Random Epic from faction'

The Epic replaces the second Common, so your pack will either be C-R-C or C-R-E.

Indeed, if Haruka gets spoiled we are down to 2 left.
