    Christmas came early at Blizzcon

Upper deck is selling the starter sets and booster packs at Blizzcon, so I decided to pick some up. :)

Now, I know we have a list of all the figures and a list of most, if not all, of the action cards, but I don't believe we have a list of which cards come with which figures and which figures are what rarity.  Fortunately, the starter set comes with a list and I'm bored in my hotel room. ;)

Also, a 1 in 5 chance of winning a Spectral Tiger is pretty good odds. :D

Thanks for all your work :)

I'd guess that "Helwen" is the name of the Succubus. That list does show that some of the spoilers, including some of the pre-sale auctions on ebay on't actually exist in the first set.

e.g. Lady Jaina; The figure identified as her must either be someone else, or from a later set.

    Thanks for your work.

Can you tell us the states of Highlord Bolvar Fordragon and the effekt of his special abilitiecard?

And what do you mean by spectral 1 in 5? Or do you mean at the tournament?

Thanks for taking the time to transcribe all of that.  Are they limiting purchase to one booster each or anything like that?

Re: Christmas came early at Blizzcon

One thing that might be helpfull is to keep track of what minis were in each booster pack.  If we are going to simulate sealed or draft we need to know the distribution.  Its still a bit early but it couldn't hurt if you have that info readily available.

Re: Christmas came early at Blizzcon

    Highlord Bolvar Fordragon:
    Human Paladin - Retribution
    10 honor, 4 armor, 2 resist, 11 health
Blade of Vengeance: 3 tick, 1 range, 5 melee, crit =  Damage +X, where X is the damage on another ally.
Consecration: At the end of ticks 5/10, deal 1 damage to each adjacent enemy.
Legendary: Awards double VP when destroyed.  You can play no more than 1 legendary character.
"Your villainy will be repaid in full."

    Bolvar's Retribution:
    2 tick, 2 range, 4 heal
For each damage healed this way, deal 1 damage to target enemy within 2 range of Bolvar.
crit = Subtract 1 tick from Bolvar.

They were doing a loot card tournament for minis.  The top 8 all got loot cards, first was the new bear mount, I think second was the turtle, there were some monkey pets as well.  One random person got a spectral tiger.  Only 5 of us signed up. :)

There didn't seem to be any limit on how many you could buy.  They were requiring us to buy a starter for some of the tournaments so that we could provide our own map/bases/dice.

I wasn't really keeping track of which ones came together, but standard distribution is 1 rare and 2 commons or 1 rare, 1 epic, and 1 common.  I'll see if I can reconstruct which ones came together when I get back tonight, and I'll try to remember any that I open today.

Thanks for the info, you totally made my day.  Can you put up some pics of your fabulous adventures online somewhere?  I'd love to see them.  Thanks.

Re: Christmas came early at Blizzcon

Unfortunately I don't have a camera of my own and didn't think to borrow one before leaving.  I did have the camera on my phone, but I really only took a couple pictures of this awesome motorized turtle mount this one girl had as part of her costume that she parked in the UDE area for a while.  You can see video of it here.  I'll try to track down a digital camera when I get home and post some pics of the minis I got.

I've got a couple more tidbits to share though.  I forgot to mention that each booster pack comes with a ude point card worth 400 points, which is also a crafting card, and a promo card from Drums of War.  It is also possible to get a loot card in there that replaces the promo card.  I opened a Slashdance loot card in one of my packs, and I heard someone opened up a Bear mount in one of the tournaments.

During the last tournament I played in today, someone pointed out that the faction on the front of the booster(Horde/Monster/Alliance) is the same faction that is inside the pack.  The people around me confirmed this and I bought a couple packs and they matched the faction on the front.  I'm not really sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing.  On the plus side, it makes things easier for players who only want to collect a single faction.  On the down side, if one faction is highly favored or disfavored it could cause a problem for stores, and could also cause a problem for sealed if one faction is determined to be stronger/weaker than the others.  Hopefully it won't be an issue, but I don't know.

Oh, I also opened up a Ras Frostwhisper.  Have his stats/card been spoiled yet?  If not I'll post them later.

Re: Christmas came early at Blizzcon

    Three things:
    1)  Ras Frostwhisper has not been spoiled and his stats would be great.  Also, that's cool about the pictures.  Put up what ever you can.  Anything is better than nothing!

    2)  I find the booster info very interesting.  According to UDE on their post Looting the Coffers, "The faction will be randomly determined, so don’t worry about searching for a Booster Pack with Monster artwork just because you’re looking for some new Monster minis."  I wonder if what you were getting was intentional or accidental.  If multiple people are getting the same faction as the artwork on the box, that cannot be a coinsidence.  If it is an accident, I wonder if it will be corrected in time for the release, or if we'll all have a few week period of knowing what kind of minis we're getting.

    3)  That Turtle Mount costume kicked all kinds of ass!!!

Re: Christmas came early at Blizzcon

I don't know if she's been spoiled yet, but here's Tyrande:

    High Priestess Tyrande Whisperwind
    Night Elf Priest - Discipline
    10 Honor, 1 Armor, 2 Resist, 11 Health
Bow of Elune:  3 Tick, 4 Range, 6 Power (Ranged), Crit:  Heal 1 damage from each ally (including this character).
Leader of the Night Elves:  Night Elf allies (including this character) ignore terrain move penalties.
Legendary:  Awards double VP when destroyed.  You can play no more than 1 legendary character.
    "The goddess is my shield."

    Searing Arrow
2 Tick, Infinite Range, 5 Power (Magic)
    Attack (Fire) - Discipline
    High Priestess Tyrande Whisperwind Only
This card ignores line of sight.
    Crit:  Ready this card.

Re: Christmas came early at Blizzcon

according to UDE the regular distribution will be different, the picture on the box will not indicate the the faction it contains. This was done for blizzcon only.
