wow, and I thought Ashtongue Blade was already good enough!!
I do agree abt the locations though, they both seem a bit meh (although their
art is very beautiful IMO). hope the capital cities for each faction are better
(have seen Thunder Bluff and it looks good).
of the Barovs, I think Weldon is somewhat better (an almost guaranteed 3
protectors) although Alexi is indeed balanced considering the ferocity the
tokens have (hey, maybe we could even have daddy Alexei Barov, the boss in
Scholomance as a Scourge ally sometime in the future?).
since this is gonna be the starting of a PvP-centric block, here are some of
the other PvP-related stuff I hope to see in Drums or the block's subsequent
sets:
allies:
Vanndar Stormpike
(Alliance) + Drek'thar
(Horde): the bosses from Alterac Valley are perfect for this block. since we
already have a good number of 8+ cost uniques, can we have them at 6 or 7 cost
instead? :D as for Galv & Bal, not sure they're good enough to be in the
tcg...
Nathanos Blightcaller:
the powerful Champion of the Banshee Queen, the Alliance has a quest in the MMO where you are
expected to slay him (and thus, are forced to be flagged for PvP). seems
fitting, don't you think? I'd include a Alliance
counterpart of some sort, but I don't recall the Horde having a quest where you
have to kill an important Alliance npc (someone
lmk if they remember one)
locations:
Alterac Valley, Warsong Gulch,
Arathi Basin (Neutral): the 3 major battlegrounds for pvp in the MMO.
EotS doesn't really count since it's a lame bg that really doesn't have
anything interesting going on :P
Ruins of Lordaeron, Circle of
Blood, Ring of Trials (Neutral): the MMO's arena locations. wonder how this
will be implemented for the tcg
Astranaar (Alliance) + Crossroads (Horde): similar to
Tarren Mill & Southshore, these two towns are known as popular PvP hot
spots in Kalimdor (esp. Crossroads).
Gurubashi Arena, Halaa (Neutral): the former is a more
of a PvA (player vs all) spot where ppl compete for a booty run (card draw
reward in the tcg?), while the latter is a contested town in Nagrand.
