indeed that would be a better idea

I just made a quick change of the guys deck without fully examining it.

The strong lay down only their weapons. The weak lay down their lives.

    This does not compute.

Hit them with the bonus twice? add 9 damage? Which is it?

I think it's 6 damage because you hit them with the bonus twice. Play Heroic strike on the Glaive that is going to get readied. Then you can strike twice with it for extra 6.

With the above decks, I really think Fallenstar is the wrong Hero. Seriously Lionar The Bloodcursed with 4 x Rak looks to be the way to go. Also, protectors are this deck's worst enemy, so Lionar's flip is very useful.

    Cheers.

You don't play Heroic Strike "on" anything.  You just play Heroic Strike and it gives all your weapons +3 atk for the turn.  Therefore in normal Glaive situations it will be +9 attack (+3 for every time you get to swing a Glaive).

    Re: Fallenstar warglaive concept.. thoughts?

Oh yeah. I got confused because he said 'get the bonus twice' and I didn't look up Heroic Strike again.

So, with Warglaves, Rak and Heroic Strike in hand, and 4 resources open. Play Heroic Strike. Both Glaives have +3. Strike with both and ready one and strike again. That's 18 damage. Play Rak, ready the Glaive that readies the other one , and strike with them again. 12 more damage.

    Cheers.

What about long time forgotten "Unen Ratan"?
He can be finkle-einhorned and he is only one who ready all of weapons

    My tourney wins/loses:
    21/8 - constructed
    11/9 - sealed pack

    Top 1: 1
    Top 4: 4
    Top 8: 7
    Before known as Faragorn.

    Re: Fallenstar warglaive concept.. thoughts?

Rak can be put into play by Finkle Enhorn, At Your Service as well. But it is true that he only readies one weapon.

However, I submit that with the Heroic Strike turn and the Warglaive ability to ready the other Warglaive, you can get more bank for your buck on Finkle + Rak Skyfury. That only costs 3 whereas to ready with a Finkle Einhorned Unan, you have to pay to activate Unen as well, right?

I think Horde Arms is the way to go for lightning fast damage on Warglaives. And for the helmet debate, Lionheart Helm anyone? Now the damage is unpreventable.

    ok to go back on-topic.

    Hero: Fallenstar

    Abilities:22
    3 Gear Upgrade
    3 Heroic Strike
    3 Sudden Death
    3 Puncture
    3 Bloodrage
    3 wreck
    4 pummel

    Equipment:26
4 Warglaive of Azzinoth,Left Hand of the Betrayer
4 Warglaive of Azzinoth,Right Hand of the Betrayer
    4 Vindicator's Brand
    2 Borak's Belt of Bravery
    4 Stronghold Gauntlets
    2 Stormrage Signet Ring
    4 Black Felsteel Bracers
    2 Legplates of Wrath

    Quests:12

    4 The Cipher of Damnation
    4 Information Gathering
    2 Big Game Hunter
    2 Deep Sea Salvage

here is how I would play it,it focusses around the warglaives and nothing more than that wich is imo more solid than your deck idea where you have different combo's in 1 deck(bracers with steelsmith, bracers with girdle,...)
now listen I'm not trying to break you down,I'm just telling that this is how I see things.

Again, why The Cipher of Damnation? You've got about a 50/50 chance of hitting! Cipher is good when you've got about 15/15/15/15 split in your deck, or close to it.

    Cheers.

Even though he's lumped all of his equipment together on this decklist, remember that weapon, armor and items each count as different card types. His chance to hit with Cipher is actually 75.7%, not 50%.

    Re: Fallenstar warglaive concept.. thoughts?

Really? I thought that weapon, armor and items were all considered equipment card types (hence "equipment" in the type line.)

I thought they were different 'Kinds' of cards for things that call for that "kind" but they were the same card type for things that call for card types, right?

That whole rules structure re: types and kinds seems pretty dodgy and counterproductive with the way the average person understands English, but that's not my call. Either way, If my opponent reveals a Twig of the World Tree and a Lionheart Helm with Cipher of Damnation I'll be calling a judge if he says he can put them both in his hand.

I may be wrong, but I'm calling a judge to confirm. Unless we get someone in here on this or someone can link me to the appropriate rule/ruling. Then I'll go with it.

300.1 A card’s type is printed on its type line. There are seven card types: ability, ally, armor, hero,
item, quest, and weapon. Allies, heroes, and Totem abilities (306.3) are collectively called
characters. Armor, items, and weapons are collectively called equipment. If text refers to a “type”
without any other specification, it’s referring to a card type.

there's a new type called Location, i dont have the latest comp rules.
