    Some Questions about Raid

    Greetings

Some questions appeared when playing the new BT raid with friends

1.When a Boss is destroyed,is there any priority window open(means that any Chains)between the minions & New Boss enter play? The case is,after the event is done, minions enter play, therefore priority window open for both GM and Raiders responding the minions enter play effect, and after that, new boss enter play with some face-down event as resources,so the raiders wants to responding the new boss enter play, and finish some minions that uses payment power(such as Priestess of Dementia)when the boss has no resource for it.Is that working?

2.Is that marlowe+Azaloth Combo (that -50 health to target hero)work on bosses?(in this case lets say illidan)

3.An ability from boss main deck,Pristmatic Sield(i hope i spell it right). Is this mean Preventing ALL boss and minions 3damage for EACH damage packet this turn?

4.Raiders can't remove card from Boss Graveyard, how about the non-ally cards in play, and boss hand cards?Such as eye of kilrogg, banish from the nether

    Re: Some Questions about Raid

    1. Several priority windows are created.  When the boss is destroyed, it is removed from the game and all face-up events are destroyed.  Then one event resource is turned face-up and added to the chain.  All players can respond to it as normal, then it resolves and the next event is turned face-up.  Then all Minion resources are removed from the game face-up, and a "New Boss" event is added to the chain.  All players can respond to this event, and when it resolves, the new boss and all minions removed from the game earlier enter play, along with any Event cards or ally tokens associated with that boss.

    2. Currently, yes.  Whether or not something will be added to the comp rules removing this interaction is unknown, but it will destroy the current hero (unless that hero is Immune).  Note that this will kill all "forms" of the Reliquary of Souls fight, as modifiers still affect the boss in between boss exchanges, however the modifier will not affect the next boss to enter play.  Also note that this may change with future Comprehensive Rules updates.

    3. Correct, every single time one of your allies or heroes would take damage, 3 of that damage is prevented.

    4. If any Minion ally would leave play for any reason, it is destroyed instead, and any resources that the boss controls cannot be removed by the raiding players.  Any other card controlled by the Boss player can be removed as normal (although note that opposing players cannot interact with Events in play), and it will be treated normally.  Same thing with the Boss player's hand.

    2. Actually, I believe that bosses can't be affected by -X heath effects. I don't know where to dig it out from, so I'll leave it to BR or Aragorn.

    Re: Some Questions about Raid

Oh really?  This is the first I've heard of it.  I didn't see an entry in the "special boss rules" section, but it does seem like something that they should be immune to.  If Aragorn or Moorf can correct us on this, I'd appreciate it.

    Re: Some Questions about Raid

I don't think I've seen anything about bosses being immune to -health modifiers, but I haven't given the new rules a good reading over yet.  However, a boss can only be destroyed by fatal damage and being destroyed due to zero health is different from being destroyed due to fatal damage.  You would have to have at least 1 damage on the boss in order for that to work.

    Re: Some Questions about Raid

See, I was under the impression that lethal damage is "damage equal to or over the character's health", which would mean a character with 0 damage and 0 health would have "lethal damage".

Although, the Immune heroes with no health value (such as Illidari Council) don't get destroyed immediately, even though they technically have 0 health, so that might be the logic to your reasoning... *shrug* I'll let the smart people debate this one.

    Re: Some Questions about Raid

Fatal damage is defined as damage equivalent or over the total health for a character. However, prepriority processing would only destroy characters with fatal damage and non-zero health as per CR409.6b. Entry CR409.6a deals with characters with zero health.
