    Rip and Flip

    Rip and Flip

    Hero: 1
    1 Marlowe the Felsworn {H}

    Allies: 24
    4 Xavar the Resourceful {1}
    4 Anchorite Kilandra {1}
    4 Kryton Barleybeard {1}
    4 Tarwila Gladespring {2}
    4 Ol' Stonewall {2}
    4 Azaloth {12}

    Abilities: 12
    4 Eye of Kilrogg {2}
    4 Steal Essence {2}
    4 Ripped through the Portal {5}

    Equipment: 10
    4 Illusionary Rod {1}
    4 Burst of Knowledge {2}
    2 Abyss Walker's Boots {2}

    Quests: 14
    4 A Donation of Wool {!}
    4 A Donation of Silk {!}
    3 Battle of Darrowshire {!}
    3 An Improper Burial {!}

    The idea of the deck is certainly to rip and flip, but I think I have added a couple of things to experiment with. What this deck attempts to accomplish is get the combo off faster than turn 7 via Burst of Knowledge and Tarwila.

    Re: Rip and Flip

    Flip is your turn only.

    Isgee is, by definition, correct.

    Rip and Flip

    Hero: 1
    1 Marlowe the Felsworn {H}

    4 Tarwila Gladespring {2}
    4 Bimble Blackout {3}
    4 Azaloth {12}

    Abilities: 12
    4 Eye of Kilrogg {2}
    4 Steal Essence {2}
    4 Ripped through the Portal {5}

    Equipment: 8
    4 Illusionary Rod {1}
    4 Burst of Knowledge {2}

    Quests: 16
    4 Battle of Darrowshire {1}
    4 An Improper Burial {2}
    4 A Donation of Silk {2}

    Sideboard: 10
    4 Xanata the Lightsworn {2}
    2 Cull the Weak {3}
    2 Invoke the Nether {6}
    2 Vicious Circle {7}

    Okay, I edited the deck. The main thing I am struggling with is protecting. Should I use Nagalaas, Antikron, Atani of the Watch, Xanata, or Ol' Stonewall? I chose to go with Nagalaas, but I'm not sure. Also I'm unconvinced with my sidboard. Any suggestions?

    Re: Rip and Flip

    I don't get it do I say "Rip and Flip" and I win? Seriously though, what do you do if you cant or don't rip?

    Mr Warriorpants I kinda like that, it has a nice ring to it

    Yes you do just say Rip and Flip and win.  If you don't rip, then it's just flip which is far less effective.

    Re: Rip and Flip

    you don't have enough finishers,, you are relying on 1 of 4 rips and 1 of 4 azaloths to win.  at least help your odds by adding another playset of finishers like xi'ri and footsteps.  burst doesn;t need to be in the deck and really niether does bimble. and circle is nice becuse even if you miss a rip on 5 you can circle on 7 still way ahead of the cost of either ally.

    Re: Rip and Flip

    I disagree I think Bimble is essential to the deck. Also Illusinary Rod isn't just for the combo it removes your had to protect you from discard effects which hinder the deck.

    ps.
    Bimble and Illusionary Rod is a nice draw engine. Even better when multiple Bimbles are in your hand.

    Re: Rip and Flip

    Yeah I think the Bimbles are a great addition. My question remains on my protector. What is the best choice, is it Nagalaas? What else should I change?
